that's the life: sitting on your arse all day drinking, done that, i think the world owes me a living, i have a hobbit who lives in the garden who is on benefits too, he's trying to get a job as a middle earth ambassador. But there just isn't the work. i myself am trying to get a job as a winetaster. Or a pole dancing inspector. If that fails, i want a job playing phil Mitchells arse in Westenders. Be realistic like me and you will go far. x
I used to be like that bloke. Drinking and smoking all day, rejected time and time again. Applying for jobs everyday! job centre never offering any help. In the end i found my own job!.
Screw the Job Centre, look for work else where! i had to work cash in hand to survive. Not claiming at the same time i may add! They call it rapid-reclaiming! Done that hundreds of times! :)
THE JOB CENTRE,S MAIN GOAL IS TO GET PEOPLE OF BENIFITS. if they find you a job good if not they dont care.. as long as u stop claiming. the whole purpose of job centre,s is to save the government money. they could save a lot more if they went after the rich tax dodgers (loopholes in the law made on purpose) who bank abroad...mp,s included...

My friend came up to his 6 month review, he hardly applied for jobs prior to this. He carried on just dossing about as usual. Then he received a letter, saying his benefits had been stopped because he didn’t apply for one he was supposed to.
I’m not sure of the facts but, I heard they have become stricter? And like you say ,they want you off jobseekers!...
@m4553y the jobcentre are not there to find you work, the jobcentre are there to help you find work. People are bone idle and cant be arsed. Lazy people who waste precious space on this planet
What the fuck is this bollocks? Anyway, you make a good point in the end. If you quit your job, your life is basically over unless you do so knowing full well you could stand a chance of being self-employed.
You never find nothing at the Job Centre anyway! Maybe paid community service work or the ever-elusive 'admin' position, which always pops up, who's employers will reject you every time. Nothing more though.
