    Now you need to take it to the next step which is GOOD keyword research.

    A good niche has good balance of demand VS competition which amazon will not really tell you, but good keyword research will.

    A good niche has demand of course but just as importantly has a reasonable amount of competition(low). Your marketing skills and effort will dictate how much competition you can take on.

  • Monitor products that are rising in popularity

    To discover successful products, it is helpful to pick one with statistics that are climbing. Restrict your choice of products to roughly 10 and track them for at least a week or two. Should you note that other affiliates are choosing one product a lot quicker than the others, then that could be a successful affiliate product.

  • Profitable niche ideas can be found in most categories. As Ed suggests its definitely worth going after the smaller niche. Amazon is a great tool for finding niche ideas as is Ebay Pulse.

  • I think this is great! Although, for some reason when I followed the example, it did not let me add the feed. It said it wasn't able to find it. Did get it to notify me in the email though. There is always a way around it I guess.

  • I can't stress enough how valuable using Google Alerts and Google Reader have been for my niche markets. The use of filters is key to organizing your "knowledge stream" into "knowledge folders". It's like having research assistants for free! Ed will teach you the techniques...all you have to do is stay the course.

  • It's Day One and I'm still in PreSeason training, but in the lesson on StumbleUpon, Ed told us to take an hour to Stumble, so I did, and I Stumbled right onto this Day One video. I am not sure what I am more thrilled about, Stumbling around YouTube or using Google Reader. Yesterday I posted new blog posts from Google Reader and had visitors immediately, hungry for good content. Ed and 30DC friends - THANK YOU for all you do. - Katie, 30DC winner 2006, absent in 2007, gonna rock in 2008!)
