I wouldn't compare this and Amnesia. Both got different way of presenting each horror impressions. For Amnesia, this is made purely only for horror. For Dead Space, it keeps you on guard for any enemies to get you and to survive in the space.

I personally don't like games with futuristic weapons, like dead space. It can be scary and stuff, but this kind of weird weapons takes the thrill out of it. A good example of horror games would be FEAR.

They have a hivemind. 2. they have infection forms 3. there release was accidental. 4. they have combat forms. 5. they have that weird shit that grows on walls. 6. they are made from sentinant life forms. 7. they stop at nothing to infect all life forms. 8. they have horrible mutations and have tentecles/ slashers 9. BEST OF ALL THEY KICK ASS.

Fun for a while but after a while it's to much of the same - shooting what feels like the same monster over and over - taking off limbs - the environment changes minimally. The scare factor was so Western... meaning just jumping out at you. Didn't find much psychological scare in it. Good game but i thought it was over rated.
