Hi finalascent. If you're actually interested, I have posted other videos of Tonopah. I really do find the town fascinating in a forlorn, haunted way. As for this particular trailer, since I made this video 4 years ago, it has disappeared without a trace..
I wish you had included a bit more than just a static shot of an RV... but I do agree that Tonopah is a neat little town... I really enjoyed my stay there, however brief it was.
@Redbloodedamerican1 Good luck. The town isn't much but I find it really interesting from a photographer's point of view. I recommend you go to the Tonopah museum. It is a fantastic place. They have so much material that they have to rotate the displays so it 's worth going again and again. It will give you an appreciation of the town's history as well as that of Nevada and the whole western expansion. Also, the old Tonopah graveyard down by the Clown motel is incredible.
@Redbloodedamerican1 One more thing. Tonopah is a gateway to the vast and wonderful Great Basin so, if you like to camp and hike, it is an adventurer's treasure box. And, if you're into ghost towns, be sure and visit Goldfield and Belmont. They are fascinating places in their own right. Plus there are some great hot springs just south of Tonopah. And there's high speed internet, so you won't be totally cut off. In all, I hope you love nature. That is Tonopah's greatest asset, the Great Basin.
@desertcafe- An amazing place. Spent two of the strangest weeks of my life there, while entertaining with a band at the station house, back in 95. That town has a 'vibe' that's highly unusual.. and very cool.
@Redbloodedamerican1 to me its a great place to live but you have to love the dessert and isolation cause its so far away from everything, however the town is growing, so im gonna be moveing to round mountain
Indeed, Tonopah is symbolically described in its entirety through this vid, I've lived here long enough to know lol... this town is pure nightmare... like Silent Hill...
what do you people do for fun up there i live in vegas and i go to tonopah 2 times a year and by the 3rd time at the musems your done so tell me what do you guys do up there
Tonopah is a treasure box of mystery, if you like ghost town crap. You're not even done with the museum. They have so much stuff that they rotate exhibits. It's the best regional museum I've ever visited. Anyway, like I said, I don't live there but our paths have undoubtedly crossed in Tonopah.

@kauipaul I couldn't agree more. I am intrigued by Tonopah. It is half ghost town and its ghosts are very much alive.

You're a good sport but if 4 minutes of mind boggling ennui doesn't do it maybe Tonopah's not the town for you.

i cant believe it. I just looked at a piece of tin going back and forth on a shitty trailer home for 2 minutes.
Ok, ok... 4 minutes. i watched it twice to catch if i missed something.
