This happened to me 10 years ago. I am finding it to be more and more common. I was told not to pitch anymore after college but I didn't listen. I had a spiral fracture of my right humerus. My shoulder locked and muscle memory took over causing the break. If you look at this film again you can see the arm break before he throws the pitch.

But better than what the doctors told me Id never play again so no need for rehab. My arm is only 45% of what it was before the break. Every time I pick the ball up to throw my heart says throw it hard but my brain takes over and stops me. I wish you all well and a speedy recovery.

If he had put his arm out FULLY behind him, pointed his hand AWAY from home then come around, then he wouldn't have been doing a shot-put motion which is the worst posibble stress you can put on an arm if not supported by the shoulders, which then caused this. Must've been a reliever. Typical.
It's the truth! I've seen relievers in the MLB they all have these terrible jerky motions. It's only we starters that actually pay attention to this stuff since we're actually thinking about going a whole 9 innings. Relievers just think, "Oh it's only 2 batters today, why would I have to worry about 'mechanics' for?" Pfff.
@hursh4 and @AMARILL008 Dave Dravecky is not dead. He did have cancer and he had to have his left arm and shoulder amputated. He is now a motivational speaker.

I broke my humerus it was way worse than that my bone was snapped in half and it felt like my arm was laying straight up and I look over it was twisted under my back and i almost fainted over ten times
