I stayed in America for 17 years and then came back to my homeland which is Philippines. I noticed that many call center agents are boasting around saying that they are good in spoken English, but the truth is that they are not..
For me, FLUENCY is the most important and the rest aren't .. And .. I really don't understand why many Filipinos always check on the grammar mistakes made by others???
I really don't give a damn about accent and pace..Fluency is the key. English is supposed to be understood within individuals... What is the use of a fast American accent spoken English if the one you're communicating with can't understand the words your saying..
the girl at 1:38 isnt at any good and thats how the company itself goes incompetent to other. am i right? and i think i speak better than her. most commonly on call centers they required to hire an american accent english not with the basic but it can somehow hit the job. hay nako
.. not only that right now there are a lot of job portals to visit to.. there's a new job portal called BPO CAREER HUB that caters to KPO and BPO only. more specified but offer vast job hiring :) try to visit the site and find out for yourself..
wow its really tough and hard to penetrate call center here in the Philippines because the employment specialists are really looking for the best and almost perfect agents I'm currently on my training in one of the most sought after call center here in the Philippines and its just like I'm undergoing a Bar exam everyday because everyday is an evaluation day WISH I COULD PASS THE TRAINING. I KNOW WE COULD WITH GOD'S HELP
I was a trainer here several years back. Hindi lahat pero there are a few officers who seriously has no business working in a call center during my time...LOL...Those officers who cannot speak straight english are the ones who were scavenged from the "old" management that was purged prior to the name change.
