Storm troopers arn't clone troopers. ! year after episode 3 they cloned 4 or 5 force-scencitive people so they could use the force and they made up 40% of the imperial army but after the first 10 years of the impier the clone vetrins from the clone wars fought the new storm troopers. As a result the cloning facilities were shut down and humans where alowed in stormtrooper corps. Clones still remained in their ranks until episode 6. They where probibly about 1/4 of the imperial army.
Stormtroopers were an elite fighting force of veteran clones and human recruits. They sucked in the movies because of the main characters. Behind the scenes they were feared by the Galaxy. And the Germans lost WWII because of poor decisions. For example invading Russia and even if they did and Japan never bombed Pearl Harbor Europe may have been Germany (excluding Britain because they were an island with great radar stations and weren't going to be attacked by land anytime soon)
Stormtroopers suck ass because they can t be mass prouduced like the Clonetroopers can. when you are fighting in a galaxy where everyone hates you you need to be able to mass produce troops and overwelm the enemy. World War 2 proved that, the Germans lost because the Allies had numbers.

Seriously what the hell happened to clones between episodes III and IV....I mean sure, some of the stormtroopers were not clones, some of them were much more incompetent and inexperienced human recruits, but still....pretty much all the stormtroopers shown in Episodes IV-VI and in all the videogame made are total idiots, incapapable of defeating the enemy unless they greatly outnumber the enemy and their shooting accuracy is as terrible B1 battle droid...not to mention their defeat to Ewoks...
@Balnazzardi I think you're a little hard against the Stormtroopers. They are pretty good even from the movies. They could effortlessly mow down dozens of guards on the Tantive IV with only three dead on screen, even when the enemy protected a choke point. The same happened during the battle of Hoth. Despite the fact that battle hardened rebel soldiers guarded a cave with choke points everywhere they were still overrun by the Stormtroopers in a short time.
@onlypeaceindeath The reason the stormtroopers mowed down the rebels in tantive IV was because the rebels were only armed with blaster pistols and the imperials had blaster rifles. And on hoth, they were outnumbered because they had the walkers and the rebels werent prepared for something that serious, the imperials basically sheated their way on hoth rather than just fighting on the fields than using walkers.
@starwarsgeek211 The guards still had a huge advantage. A dozen guns pointing on a small door which was only wide enough for one man. Sure, if they had auto-weapons it would have been impossible to pass without grenades. But still, a dozen guns are still alot of firepower. And the Stormtroopers still managed to break through within seconds. That's not bad at all. And the walkers had nothing to do with the taking of the very base itself since they couldn't enter. It's the Stormtroopers victory.
@robot140 can you inagine having halo in that war with them like the covenant will be with the stormtroopers and the droids and the unsc would be with the clones and rebels. That would be an war id love to see.

I Love the empire but in all honesty and im not being mean or anything its just the clones acted so mutch more bad ass than the storm troopers they became.Well i guess the clone wars made them that way but when the civil war happened the storm troopers never really fought in any major ground battle
@OrangeGriff and another reason is also because the Rebel Alliance were mostly the ones who fought the empire, but sometimes after only one battle, they would try to recruit more and more people and they would only get like 10 people a day and basically the only people who fought the empire after the rebels were the natives of the planets that the empire controlled, like they would form their own militias and fight the empire then rebels would fight them afterwards.

@starwarsgeek211 The guards still had a huge advantage. A dozen guns pointing on a small door which was only wide enough for one man. Sure, if they had auto-weapons it would have been impossible to pass without grenades. But still, a dozen guns are still alot of firepower. And the Stormtroopers still managed to break through within seconds. That's not bad at all. And the walkers had nothing to do with the taking of the very base itself since they couldn't enter. It's the Stormtroopers victory.

@OrangeGriff and another reason is also because the Rebel Alliance were mostly the ones who fought the empire, but sometimes after only one battle, they would try to recruit more and more people and they would only get like 10 people a day and basically the only people who fought the empire after the rebels were the natives of the planets that the empire controlled, like they would form their own militias and fight the empire then rebels would fight them afterwards.

Yes,the Emperor stopped using clones,becasue he saw what they can cause like the situation on Kamino,so the only troops that have 50% clones and 50% people(witch means that haves the most clones in)is the 501st legion under the command of Vader.The rest of the imperial army are recruits who train in infantry academyes only 2 years.But that doesnt mean that they must fight like ASS.The US Marines are not 2y trained and they kick terrorists like shits.

So then he replaced most of the Fett-clones with recruits and clones from other templates. I say that storm troopers dont suk because like all of them were clonetroopers too and that the storm troopers take out entire army of rebels in side the ship and i think i played one of the levelin starwars battlefront 2 that u have to be storm troopers and killed all the new clonetroopers i thinked are there like traitors want to help the rebels and im kind of sad because i watched everything about starwars played it i still dont get it.I CANT WAIT TILL Starwar force unleashed 2 to come out!!!

AND why the fuck do u think all the officers looked different??

clone troopers are really badass but stormtroopers are more scary. not to mention stormtroopers have much better technology that they carry in the death star, the vehicles are similar to clones but they are much more faster and stronger. i feel sad for the order 66 victims but what are you going to do, thats how it goes!!

@fuckingknive No, Clone troopers were genehetically enhanced for battle, artificial beings, like robots, but not robots, they were ment for war, stormtroopers were ethier forced or captured by the empire to get in their army, the only Clones that became Stormtroopers were the 501st Legion, which was derected by Lord Vader, and they lost tons of battles.

@ltkdog Uhh, the 501st was fucking VADERS FIST DUDE!! They were the most elite stormtrooper group in the empire for a long time. And the empire just used propaganda to recruit people and labeled the rebels as anarchists. Simple.
