Dragon Age Origins was pretty good from what I tried but just not my cup of tea. Not appealing to everyone. L4D2 doesn't bring enough to the table since L4D1 to be a contender in my mind (perhaps expansion pack of the year award?) I have not tried Braid or Empire Total War yet. Metacritic scores: Braid: 90 Empire Total War: 90 Dragon Age: 91 Batman AA: 91 L4D2: 90 I predict a close race DiRT 2 got a 90 on metacritic too, I find it strange that it is not in the running.

Dragon Age is amazing but Empire is in fact the monolithic masterpiece that everybody says Dragon Age is. When you actually finish Dragon Age you look back and it doesn't really seem like that much of a monumentally huge game anymore. Rooting for Empire (everybody disappointed by the artillery, just get howitzers, fixes the problem of the cannons' crappiness without the overpoweredness of mortars).

Yup, MW2 had a bad reception in PC because of the problem with dedicated servers. Braid id beautiful, but is not a winner. Arkham Asylum is more remarkable in console platforms. I think this is between Dragon Age and L4D2.
