Omg it's really cool! It's way different than the movie, but better. I'm mexican, and in my english-spanish school we were gonna do the play as the movie, but our principal asked for the rights of the play, so now we are doing exactly the same as this video. I'm playing Taylor, although i actually auditioned for Gabriella, but still I'm happy with my role... :) And nervous, cause people from Disney are coming to see if we are really following the script, and record it... And I have to sing!! :O

I'm sorry to hear you feel the similarities are a disappointment. Most other people, on the contrary, have been very complimentary. The reasoning is simply because of the target age range; preteens. The majority of whom have never been to the theatre before, and with the phenominal success of the film, expect high comparison with it. We would not wish to disappoint them.

I understand that completely. Most of my friends started yelling at me when I did my dance for "What I'm Looking For" (I'm Sharpay) and it wasn't identical to the movie. I totally understand why most people would hate it being different. I've just always had a pet peeve with it.

I just had a conversation with our director about how she saw a production of this over our break from school, and kids were actually crying during the intermission because of unlike the movie it was. I think for shows like this, getting as close to the movie as you can when it comes to clothes, sets, and the look of the characters is very important.

I'm doing HSM at the moment, and our contract with Disney states that the costumes and dances have to be the same as they are in the movie - we don't have a choice.

Yeah, they did it as it is in the script. You might have a different script if your so certain that its wrong. And it does make sence. she was saying "i will if you will" As if to say, ill sing if u sing. Its pretty obvious what it means and it makes sense completely
