Basically the white man is the most recent oppressor. The arabs enslaved africans too. Slavery is a ugly part of history with many instances, not just the one he speaks of. Moving on and growing involves forgiving and letting go. Not blaming the white man for everything. Honestly, americans have been the best example of instilling civil rights. Look at africans in iraq, white people in s.africa post aparheid, darker skinned in india, modern day sudan... the list goes on.
