  • Favorite song by far!! Hail Throwdown!

  • i typed in throwdown and this is what i got.

    me gusta.

  • OMG ITS PERFECT SONG

  • I think I shit myself!!!

  • HOLY SHIT!!!!!!!

  • WOW! SO different than their old shit! Looks like main stream grabbed them. But i will give it Pantera would be proud

  • Seriously, come to Denmark!!!

  • I prefer the old. Mainly because they were doing their own thing rather than copying pantera.

  • i just started listenin to throwdown last yr as a result of my friend lovin my vocals and sayin ishould give throwdown a shot......and i fell in love with em...why? cause ima die hard pantera fan....how the fuck do you knock them for soundin like pantera??? wtf!!! their better than that teenage whiney ass avnged sevenfold...or that lame ass shit in your mouth bullet for my valentine....or better yet...that bullshit you call...slipknot! <-----died R.I.P

  • @Hicklife20 Avenged Sevenfold need to dick up, Bullet For My Valentine need to learn how to yell, I respect Slipknot, Escape the Fate need to cut their hair, and Asking Alexandria need to grow up.

  • new album sounds much better.

But I still prefer throwdown with keith barney. Just my opinion.

  • I sing this at my parents grave

  • wow huge sellout band.trying wayyyy to hard to sound like pantera.if you like good straight edge hardcore look up their album You Dont Have To Be Blood To Be Family.

  • @kolharrell .... this is a band maturing... how do u knock them for sounding like a band they love? i love all their shit.. new cd is great. old shit is amazing as well. awesome band no doubt!

  • @kolharrell You do know "straight edge" is just a trendy way for mall kids to say drug free. Who's the sell out? This band has matured and they were always amazing just far better now.

  • They have matured into a great sounding band. Very underrated.

  • good song

  • they remind of Pantera in the early days BUT...still good stuff.

  • @aglareth the hair metal days of pantera? o.O

  • This music is the shit. Gotta love this song!

  • SO damn epic.

  • Fuckin epic.

  • @ckryda13 i can kinda hear the similarity to Sully Erna but they sound more like pantera

  • for sure sounds like godsmack.

  • @ckryda13 Godsmack???????really!!!!!! WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU SMOKING.......

  • I would like to see a video or the song new world disorder by these guys

  • They sound more like Godsmack to me lol

  • @ComptonAssMandiiee it's metal

  • Anyone else hear Three Days Grace and Godsmack?

  • @mamickid are you deaf??three days grace???and godsmack?what the fuck is wrong with you man??i can say that they have some similarities with godsmack..but WTF???WITH THREE DAYS GRACE???FUCK, DUDE..

  • @georgentine xD Overreacting unnecessarily, but 0:55 to 1:08 sounds like Three Days Grace which is a pretty good band. And take spelling lessons... You sound ignorant.

  • @mamickid @mamickid Im from greece sorry about my bad english..you re wrong about the song..you know that and you are ignorant about music ..don't judge me about my bad english language..I try to communicate with you and you have to respect that dude..If you dont like this way of communication and you feel aggrieved about this, speak to me greek..Your choice..

  • Lol . . . Escape the fates new album is in the ads what do the people who place ads think that people that listen to throwdown like ETF? their new singer too

  • hi´s Phil Aselmo? haha

  • I listend to the newest cd deathless last night. was completly fucking blown away. not wahat i rememberd throwdown to be. i realy like the way they went.

  • Great band. end of.

  • i dont know why, but this bands singer reminds me of another from Dirge within? idk but they do sound a lot like pantera

  • Pantera would be proud.

  • SOOO MUCH BETTER THAN THE OLD SHIT

  • @RizeUpAgainstIt you seriously must be joking. this stuff is just a pantera cover band. its not bad but its not Throwdown. The real Throwdown died when keith and tommy love left the band. to each his own i guess

  • @RizeUpAgainstIt I love the old stuff better but the new stuff is hardcore

  • @RizeUpAgainstIt

Old stuff was better, every song from haymaker rang true in my life. This stuff is alright, I only listen to this and another one.

  • i thought it was impossible to rock harder than pantera!!! honestly!!!......heavier, more modern, with amzing breakdowns. THIS IS METAL

  • i wish Throwdown was still HC

  • Bad ass song. Bad ass group. If this song doesn't move your ass, nothing will....

  • 8 people prefer Justin Bieber.

  • Is it me or does it sound like he is using auto-tune at 0:37 - 0:41?

  • who really gives a fuck who they sound like u dumbass', people need to learn to enjoy the music instead of hating them bc they "might" sound like someone great, you people need to grow the fuck up! if they do resemble a good band oh well that just means that they had a good taste in music.....and originality how the hell are they supposed to have that with u hatin bastards if they did come up with something new u would just criticize the shit out of them.....FUCK U PUSSIES!!!!!!!

  • love em..

  • Kinda sounds like Throwdown to me fuck all you haters

  • I've heard just about enough crap from people about these guys.

"Oooohh....they sound like Pantera or Godsmack....ooohhh....they just aren't original enough."

I dare you to take a look back at all of the greatest guitarists, vocalists and bands all together and tell me there style didn't resemble the music that inspired them to play in the first place.

You all seem to forget that Pantera was a Glam Metal band beforehand, and followed the trend of Trash, who's un-original now.

  • dude they were NEVER deathmetal, they were a traditional "hardcore" band in there first couple albums and they had a different vocalist and they have progressively gotten to sound more like pantera and more mellow parts and clean vocal

  • american death head are you serious old throwdown death metal hahahahhahahahahahahhahahahahah that was the epitome of orange county hardcore in the mid 2000s please man everything else you said was right but please listen to raise your first or anything of haymaker and tell me that its death metal please

  • Explain to me please what elements of this song remind you of Dream Theater of A7X? Throwdown is a shameless PanterA/Phil Anselmo rip off. The grooves are all in place and the vocals are great, but the lack of originality leaves me w/little respect for them as musicians. I can, however, easily drink a cold beer and listen to the tunes without wanting to tear my eyes out...it isn't terrible. Nothing beats the original tho ^_^

  • @fang121293 dude this sounds nothing like slipknot...not their earlier days and not now...but yeah i definately agree with everyone that theres some similarities to pantera and its fuckin mad

  • kinda sounds like slipknot in their earlier years...throwdown is fuckin awesome

  • this song is like a Pantera/Godsmack hybrid, with bits and pieces of "Waking The Fallen" era A7X. you might disagree, but there's one think we can all agree on: Throwdown ROCK!

  • Respond to this video... its more like pantera avenged sevenfold dream theater and mudvayne put together

  • this true modern metal i like metalcore and suff but this is just straight up metal at its purist

  • These guys have taken over where Pantera left off at Far Beyond Driven. Greatest new metal out

  • its like pantera, black label society, godsmack, mudvayne, and hatebreed had an orgy and created throwdown.......fucking awesome band!!!!!!

  • Don't compare them to Creed... You only say a band sounds like Creed if you think they suck and want the band to fail.

  • @RealAkrik your a fucking retard, creed is a great band ur taste in music is just shit! people like u need to learn to like all music, ur just tryin to sound like some kind of badass when ur not.....

  • YEAHHHHHHHHHHHH

  • Band sucks horribly now. If you want to listen to some good stuff check out their old albums Beyond Repair, You don't have to be blood to be family, and Haymaker. Any album after those have been an abomination just like this song.

  • kinda sounds like avenged 7fold but a lot better and metal!@!@

  • @jessec63 I draw the line there, my friend. I'm a huge A7X, they sound nothing alike, A7X is far more melodic.

  • it'so amazing how this song sounds JUST like Phil I could have sower when I first herd this band that this was one of Phil's side band's(he's got menny)

  • this is fuckin' awesome!!!!

  • sounds like SOil but with a heavier vioce

  • @HeavyMetalGurke

Actually the voice reminds me of Sully from Godsmack...

  • New album is haulin' some fucking ass!!

  • this is too sick for MTV and its fake as preppy teen shit it is now...dont even show music vids anymore...as far as da band...fucking ravage

    nuff said.

  • TrowDown is sick dudes.they are like awsome!@#$%^&*()

  • So much shit music these days, thank fuck for these guys....

  • This is what Pantera should have become... I love this band!!!

  • Everyband needs to change it up a litle and if the mix there last one with this album it would be an absolute masterpiece i like the first couple albums but its a whole new band now almost and i think there better now than before

  • they sound more and more like pantera

  • This band is progressing.

  • The rip off pantera on Venom + Tears, Godsmack on Deathless, i wonder what band theyre next album will sound like... they need to go back to the way they were on albums like Haymaker and Vendetta.

  • @YoQuieroTacoJeff Yeah even though Haymaker and Vendetta were their best bands. They wanted a Pantera sound yanno, they were really influenced by them. The whole hardcore sound wasn't mean to last with them. A shame

  • not bad they are god

  • sounds like a heavier version of Godsmack just judging from the singer

  • @ObligatedHornet It sounds like a different band just judging by the entire song. And album. And other albums.

  • one of my new favorite songs

  • Though my favorite on my album was "Pyre & Procession", this song is the best on the album, in my opinion. FANTASTIC album. Fucking loved it!

  • im tryin to learn this on drums its fun to play with jamin with friends!

  • download this brillent song

  • pantera and godsmack some disturbed, thats what im hearing

  • @PickleJar251

yup all of them, the singing style is A LOT like Dave D. from Disturbed during the chrous and how he does the vocal equivilent of a pinch harmonic on his screams

  • god damn i wish i could find musicians around here where i live. dedication is just so hard

  • were do u live

  • i live in fontana, California

  • and u cant find any1 with dedication

  • that and i just cant find members who are good in general, not too many people around here that enjoy my style

  • same here

  • @ChainHead90 i know the feeling my friend....

  • LOVE IT!!!!!!it sounds a little like sully erna

  • one word, PANTERA!!!!!!!!

    awesome song!

  • i said to myself the same thing

  • I dont know what you guys are hearing...it sounds like Disturbed/Pantera vocals at first then changes to like 3 Doors Down for some reason...doesnt sound like old Throwdown but it still sounds cool

  • sounds like sully from godsamack at first

  • @XxBRUTALITYxX54 Ya they changed a lot, theres a mix of a lot of familiar bands like Godsmack and the ones i mentioned. Only sometimes does he sound like he used to, and the guitars sound like Killswitch or August Burns Red now

  • looovvveee ittt:)))

  • Throwdown + Pantera = a badass genre of metal!!!

  • It truly does sound like Slipknots "before i forget" and "duality" mixed up :D

  • its like Godsmack meets Pantera...Pansmack

  • To me its more like Pantera meets Chimaira...Chimtera...ha!

  • lmao wow i never thought of that

  • idk is it didnt think so they r better!!!!!\

  • Whoa is this Pantera? hahaha

  • its cool for them or whatever but its really wierd for me. i was listening to u dont have to be blood to be family in like the 5th grade haymaker was cool in middle school. it really 2 different sounds

  • 2:32 TOTALLY KICKS ASS!!!!

  • it doesn't sound like the throwdown i used to know but its still good.

its surprising to see such a change in musical style, but also quite interesting

try and bitch at that politically correct statement bitches! i know one of you will =P

and yes it is stating the obvious saying it sounds nothing like old stuff anyone can hear that haha, i still like forever and burn and you can't kill integrity.

  • totally love this song, kick-ass!

  • holy shit this song is insane

  • i wish the chorus to this song was longer, the song wud be so much sexxierrrrr

  • godsmack? thats too much credit for godsmack, these guys are better than that

  • FUCK this singer sounds like Phil Anselmo!!!!!

    IT'S AMAZING

  • @guydudemanperson this singer wants to be phil, not a bad person to aspire to be

  • @guydudemanperson exactly.... sounds good though

  • Epic

  • AWESOME!

  • They've melded from Death Metal 10 years ago, into a modern mix of Pantera meets Godsmack. I like it due to the aggressively energetic vocals being enhanced with totally powerfull guitar and drums. They'll be on MTV2 soon if they're not already? Ha-Ha! Great CD overall.

  • @AmericanDeathHead MTV?Fuck MTV and all these ignorant shit.

  • And yeah Throwdown kicks ass.Awesome crossover which i like very much.

  • @AmericanDeathHead they were never death metal they were a straight edge hardcore band

  • @AmericanDeathHead they dont have any good music on MTV its all gay shit but this song deserves to be on it

  • your gay.....what the fuck happened. im sooooo glad i didn't buy the cd before i listened to it. becuz its nothing like their first cd

  • @POSTmortemRAPE666 If you want something like their first cd.....then listen to their first cd.

I always laugh when morons state these obvious facts. You'd have the same idiots crying THIS SOUNDS JUST LIKE THEIR FIRST CD; if in fact it sounded like their first cd. my god....

  • definitely not getting soft, the drums have picked up so much, they did a proper breakdown... the right way >.>... HAHA, but hey, to each his own

  • this isnt a bad song overall.

i know this'll sound weird, generate a lot of "wtf?"'s, and thumbs downs, but i dont like when the singer is good/decipherable. if he sang like he did from 2:33 - 3:00 i'd like it a lot more.

    4 star song imo.

  • @sharingan072

Divine Heresy .. Check em out buddy.

  • WTF happened!!!!!!

  • your mom is gay

  • @wtpbikes great comeback kid.

  • @drnrg31 -thumbs up- i totally did that on purpose XD

  • Throwdown has proven to be an ever evolving band, no two albums sound identical. I liked Vendetta, and of course I loved Venom & Tears, but even Vendetta still had alot if hardcore influence. Who knows, maybe with the next release they'll sound completely different once again? I have a HUGE variety in music, I just favor metal above all other genres. So, it really doesn't bother me when a band tries something new. It works well for some, and not so well for others.

  • I was surprised at the change in style once again, but I like it!

Something everyone needs to remember is that many bands do tend to go softer as they get older. It's a part of being in a band for a long time...

  • In my opinion, it was all for the better. I like their current style alot more than their "hardcore influenced" previous albums. I'm not saying that those albums were necessarily bad or anything...I just prefer this groove metal sound.

  • Throwdown is kicking ass again now!!!

  • i had never heard this band in my life but im kicking my self for not listening to there songs earlier, great song

  • crazy how the metal channel plays some shit songs, then it plays songs that blow you away. this song is the one that blew me away. amazing song.

  • I want more guitar solo, damnit.

  • dude....their new album is straight up WICKED!!! /,,/ it seems they kinda broke away from the whole pantera sound and came up with their own awesome originallity

  • Comment removed

  • i got a question for you all.

    1st. this is my opinion

im sure you'll have heard The Blinding Light song? now for some reason to me when he sings "...in this blinding light..." it sounds like Creed. Creed comes to my mind right there. his voice sounds so similar to whats his name from Creed. a couple other parts in other songs remind me of Creed.. idk. what do you'll think? no offense to anyone, i know they are 2, extremly different. just an opinion and observation. no hate please.

  • i was just thinking the same thing kinda.

Like if Scott stap wasn't gay.

Also sounds like three days grace.

I liked Holy Roller much better.

  • @unresolved777 i agree, imo i like the album vendetta the most.

  • this song is E P I C

  • Killswitch is more melodic Death and metalcore from my point of view, They have heavy songs then they have more melodic songs, They do infuse a lot of different styles i enjoy. I wasnt too big on their newest cd.

  • I really want this album, went to FYE on release date and the guy said they won't have it in until the end of the week. WTF is the purpose of a release date then? Great song, great band, and hopefully great album.

  • damn, damn, damn, damn!!!! i forgot to go again to get the album.. and they better have it.

wait, WTF?? Hannah Montana on the related videos>>>>>????

  • its a metal cd bro, thus fye and all the other major distributers dont see it as important. fukd up, but thats how it goes.

  • That's true, the guy didn't even know who Throwdown was. I'm going to get it tomorrow and they better damn well have it then.

  • damn.... i didnt realize everyone was arguing on here. haha..

  • i know that a lot of people said this about their last album Venom and Tears, but i get an eerie Phil Anselmo vibe from the vocals he has developed and mastered.

on par with such amazing vocalists as Howard Jones from Killswitch.

    FUCKIN METAL!

  • what the fuck is this fucking nu-metal garbage. sounds like killswitch engage. it makes me fucking sick. sounds like it should be in a wwe videogame.

  • haha killswitch engage never sounded like this ? lol wtf i could understand the WWE thing but really? this is actually groove metal friend.

KSE is metalcore, Not nu metal.

Lears the genres before you speak an opinion

  • exactly, bro..it's obvious this individual doesn't know nearly as much about music and genres as he'd like to think

With regards to genres, KsE is metalcore, throwdown is groove metal

Nu metal is: korn, limp bizkit, deftones, linkin park(1st two albums especially), system of a down, and p.o.d.

  • I like a good majority of metalcore, I like certian songs involving nu metal but im not a fanatic as for groove metal, Its the greatest thing when im pissed off or when im just in a mood to party, Other than that, Its all Blackened thrash or death metal, some grindcore and a great majority of deathcore.

  • yeah, i hear ya..i used to like a lot of death metal back in the day, but my tastes in music have expanded, shall we say, a WHOLE lot (beyond metal)..i still like some death metal, thrash metal, black metal, etc.

And I too love groove metal when i'm angry or looking for an adrenalin rush..just gets me pumped

  • im not so much an angry child anymore so nu metal has been cut out and i feel the same way, I listen to a lot of acoustic stuff as well, I play guitar and i drum and i feel like if i stick to one type of genre, I wont expand myself as a musician so i like to hear everything.

I still love bands like Goatwhore and toxic holocaust.

but on a daily basis i listen to things like suicide silence, im in love with break downs and the elements that genre entails.

  • Yeah, i used to be somewhat of an angry kid so nu metal was great for me..i still listen to some of it, but not as much now since i listen to many other types of music

i like alot of acoustic stuff too along with some blues, southern rock, alt rock, country and heck even a lil techno and pop rock, but i still love the metal, man..nothing like it :)
