The second one is real, but the first is some of that "reverse speach" crap. There's no way they could get those kids singing to say what they wanted both forwards and reversed. It's like looking at a cloud and seeing a face; it's not really there. In fact, the best way to tell if these "messages" are real is if they are seperate from the forward singing and sound nonsensical when played forwards. By the way, I love The Wall, and I don't want to be creeped out every time I hear that song.
Nice find. "Stanley, For you and for all the other book burners", I had not heard that one before after listening to most of Pink's stuff backwards. I like weird stuff. If you want to hear really weird check out 8Sl34TINYz0 by Scott Walker entitled Jolson and Jones (Donkey sounds) or r5hvHEBLNpI entitled Clara (Meat punching as an instrument). It's nothing like Floyd, but has that backward Floyd feel when being played forward with a show tunes for the damned edge.
@seamus1967 Yeah I do. He is quoting the computer from 2001 space odyssey. I though you were making a joke. Im not sure exactly what he used on the album Either way its interesting. " In an interview with Rockline on 8 February 1993 Roger Waters stated that he had wanted to use samples of HAL 9000 from 2001: A Space Odyssey on the album. Stanley Kubrick, the director, turned him down on the basis that it would open the door to too many other people using the sound sample." Wikipedia
@northvilletunnels He's not quoting anything from the movie. He wanted to use audio from the movie and when he was denied permission, he put a backward message instead taking a jab at Kubrick. I still think what he's yelling at the end is pretty clear.
@northvilletunnels Long before that, Kubrick wanted to use parts of Atom Heart Mother for A Clockwork Orange..The Floyd said no or didn't get back to him on this, and that led to the beginning of a rift between the two. HOWEVER; If you go ahead and synchronize the end of 2001 with "Echoes"...and do it correctly...you will find that the piece lasts precisely as long as the last chapter. Hmmmm....
Its the very first 5 seconds of Perfect Sense Pt 1 that gets me. Its obviously Roger screaming something....but what it is, who knows. When you hear it normally, it sounds like he's saying something in reverse. But when you hear it reversed, it still sort of sounds like its in reverse....if you get me. Hmmmm..
@Rabbit1Lee Music Producers call it (coincidence)! If you get stoned on the sticky northern lights like you should when listening to floyd! You can hear ANYTHING!! LMAO!! I suggest "GRADO 80I'S" THE BEST HEADPHONES UNDER $ 100.00 BUCKS YOU CAN GET! I'm a grad of G.I.T. AND HAVE A RECORDING STUDIO, these headphones rock!, You WILL hear things buried in the mix you never knew where there .
"Amused" was recorded in Q-sound technology n sounds better than todays cd's! Almost like surround sound!

"You're a fucking waste of life! Dave, stop it! Dave, stop it!" is that a sample from the movie or is a Waters scream as seamus said?
