Most countrys have a motorcycle license that allows bigger bikes then 125cc but it must have the power under 25kw. That kawa engine has potential for much higher revs but then i't would go over the powerrestriction(25kw).
i know they used to have a 4 cyl 250 to go up against the hurricane 250 from honda. they probably axed because it wasn't needed. the twin prbably made more torque due to a longer stroke so it was a better beginners bike. they revved to 18 or even 20k rpm (honda) because they had a much larger bore than stroke ratio, making it easier to make a lot of power but losing a lot of torque

I believe the full exhaust kit(headers/muffler) goes for around $470ish plus shipping if required of coarse. And I don't have a clue how much rejetting costs.
250R is a great bike. Lots of people telling me they are getting eaten up by them in the twisties on bike cruises, even passing liter bikes and 600's. You can lean from one side to the other in no time on these 250's.....truly a great bike!

It's a trade off or should I say a give and take situation. If you want more performance with a new exhaust system you have to rejet the bike (recalibrate the carburetor) and thus you lessen the gas efficiency and potentially increase the amount of engine wear.
Nice beginner bike. I plan on getting one but I heard they are sold out. Have you rejetted it since the full exhaust? Is there a tube that connects the 2 header pipes like on the stock one?

fatgirlssmell- you prob already know this is a parallel twin. To say that it sounds like a v twin doesnt make any sense as it wouldnt make it sound any different if it was a v twin. Presuming same capacity, engine design, valve timing, same exhaust and intake etc etc a v twin and parallel will sound no different! And replacing the full exhaust system will require re jetting, otherwise it will be running lean and in most cases, decreasing performance? best to do your research b4 chucking on
some ideas for camera mounts to the tank could be magnets or velcro? make a cloth/ leather harness that goes over camera and velcros to the tank then have some on the bottom of the camera or leave it as is and put something soft and absorbant underneath to absorb all the vibration... not sure if it would work but i think its worth a try ^_^ nice vid
According to dyno the powerband does drop after 10.5k stock, but an exhaust will correct this in a hurry. The Area P exhaust was shown to increase flow 28%, and add an additional 10hp around 13k rpm's...so no worries.

if you pay msrp with nothing down its only about $130/month for 36 months. but you can finance 12-48 months through most dealers so amount will vary

I was so ready to get this bike until I recently got bored with the 250. 650r here I come. Thats not to down anyone who wants this bike, there great starter bikes and people keep them. The new design is sick though

hey im only 17 too, im in canada so the bike was 4800 bucks if your in the us its around 4 i think after taxes and stuff but basically you have to get your dad to be the primary and you the co-signer what me and my dad did was we opened a joint bank account and i just deposit money into it every month

I dont know what chucking on means but ok...I also dont know what ur trying to prove there? I think the bike sounds a-ok... I agree that it could need to rejet. I completely switched carbs and jets and adjusted the riser clip countless times when I installed a Yoshi race system on my supermoto last year.
I was referring to the differnent shape of this canister to the Yoshi or 2 bros and how its seems to baffle and produce a deeper tone

My opinion the Area P sounds more throaty, like a Vtwin. To Yoshi and 2Bros sound like they have less backpressure. I'm def. going with Area P thanks for the vid bro

fatgirlssmell- you prob already know this is a parallel twin. To say that it sounds like a v twin doesnt make any sense as it wouldnt make it sound any different if it was a v twin. Presuming same capacity, engine design, valve timing, same exhaust and intake etc etc a v twin and parallel will sound no different! And replacing the full exhaust system will require re jetting, otherwise it will be running lean and in most cases, decreasing performance? best to do your research b4 chucking on

some ideas for camera mounts to the tank could be magnets or velcro? make a cloth/ leather harness that goes over camera and velcros to the tank then have some on the bottom of the camera or leave it as is and put something soft and absorbant underneath to absorb all the vibration... not sure if it would work but i think its worth a try ^_^ nice vid

According to dyno the powerband does drop after 10.5k stock, but an exhaust will correct this in a hurry. The Area P exhaust was shown to increase flow 28%, and add an additional 10hp around 13k rpm's...so no worries.

I'm picking up mine today at the dealer, a blue one.. i'm kinda upset that for the first 600 miles i can't rev it up past 4 but oh well..
