I believe spike was offered his own show but refused it. He also felt he couldn't do justice to the character with getting older, the wrinkles and all. But we can dream and read fan-fiction to immagine new episodes in our hearts :D

Spike & Buffy was one of the inspirations for Twilight's Edward and Bella. The novel came after BTVS. Besides i prefer Spuffy due to the Comedy element, and the fact that these two had extreme passions for each other, whether they were fighting each other in the beginning right down to the end when they were passionate about each other, and spike gave his life to save buffy and the potentials in the end of the series, too bad he still stuck in L.A. in the Comic book Series.
