@jack11643 I do train. I've been boxing for five years and doing mma for one. I've also personally seen Mir train at striking unlimited back in '09. He's very fluid, but he's still stiff in his punches which in turn slows them down. He's improved under Gifford, but I've seen mir hit pads at full speed, and it wasn't that impressive. I'm sure he's a boxing machine now tho.

frank mir is awsome he has excellent striking now and always has excellent jiujitsu. with that said his flaw is his wrestling ability . if he spent as much time with wrestling as he did striking he would be an all over beast. he learns very quickly and is very intelligent when to use his techniques and how to use them. and the thing about the lesnar fight is he had his wrist held by a 300lbsbeast and trained mostly stand up for the fight ( his stand up look great for the time on the feet)

frank mir is awsome he has excellent striking now and always has excellent jiujitsu. with that said his flaw is his wrestling ability . if he spent as much time with wrestling as he did striking he would be an all over beast. he learns very quickly and is very intelligent when to use his techniques and how to use them. and the thing about the lesnar fight is he had his wrist held by a 300lbsbeast and trained mostly stand up for the fight ( his stand up look great for the time on the feet)

As the comment below says. Mir rocked Lesnar with that flying knee, then Herb Dean the fuckin' eejit gave 2 warnings to Lesnar, who just lay on top of Mir, not advancing his postion or attempting to. Lesnar threw 1 punch in nearly 30 seconds thus allowing Lesnar to fully recover. Mir had a poor game plan, but probably would have won if Dean did his job properly and stood them up. Poor refereeing.
