@MrCwillies Well, basicly you could play anything in the key of E minor or G major. The riff was in E minor. There were some licks with the bluesy A# note, so that goes as well. Just don't play the box shape like you have the first finger always at 12th fret and you just play the Em scale up and down.

Instead, find the notes in Em and G scales and locate them on the fretboard. Then try using all "usable" frets in all strings. That will make solos more interesting. Btw, it was in E, not A

@MrCwillies I thought you meant the latter one. Anyways, the longer one is in E. Yes, They go together. Like A minor and C major. F# minor and A. Different note choices go well with different chord changes, so just try everything, even outside of those two scales.
