i just got back from cairns,and it is a very nice place but it is impossible to survive unless you have a full time job. if your in the constuction industry you have no chance
with out exaggerating i spoke to atleast 50 guys that loved it ther but hade to leave because ther is just no work whats so ever. if you could get a full time job and your on place it would be awesome but if not it can become hellish due to heat and boredam you will most likley look for work everyday and get nowhere

Cairns's weather is WEATHER (sometimes it rains, boo, how the hell do you think it stays so green) and people are people, it takes all kinds! I'd definitely not say we're all slacked jawed peanuts, my word, unless we're soul-less robots you aren't happy?

Cairns is better that where ever the hell your from, not to mention that has absolutely NOTHING wrong with it, your just jealous because where your from doesn't live up to Cairns Standards.
Its an old suburb located on the Northern Beaches of Cairns. I don't think it's even called that anymore though..
