I don't think there's anything specific. Not an alien, no dick, nothing missing or wrong. But its just a general sense, she's "different" and the red glow is a way of showing it. At the end the others glow red as well and she smiles seeing they are ''different'' to and now she's safe with them and away from the others who would judge her.

Someone on another version mentioned that the red is simply being different. She's just different, and when she meets the guy she likes and she believes he likes her, she shows him how she is different and not like everybody else.
