@delta7576 The plane was the first A380 test airplane and it belongs to Airbus. It was used on its world wide tour of customer airlines as well as part of its certification process. Airbus painted their customers' livery in names'sake, and logos on the engine cowls however changing the tail would be very costly because the vertical fin is carbon fibre and much more difficult to paint.
Many airports around the world can't handle the 380 because it is too big and it came in a time where airports can't expand it's terminal to handle it.
747 is way better because it a classic and lot of people know it.
The A380 has a much higher MTOW and various taxiways/holding points/parking areas/terminal areas have had to be dug up and thicker concrete installed. On top of that, the over 80m wing span encroaches on taxiways and parallel runway safety minimums often resulting in shutdows of aforementioned areas when the A380 is taxiing/landing. Just check out LAX's arguments with QF, and you'll see. Currently the A380 can operate out of only 18 airports world wide.

The fact is A380 will only need to fly to the major hubs to be successful. The 747 on the other hand is damn near retirement.
But it's not successful. In fact airlines have been cancelling orders, and the planes break even point is 573 airframes. Only 40 odd have been delivered and the standing orders are at around 100 odd. Further, these 100 have been heavily discounted due to delays. If the French govt stop subsidising the heck out of these planes, EADS will bankrupt.

While the 747 is a great plane and a beatiful one, it can't match the A380 economics. You can carry 35%more people for the same fuel cost. Besides once the longer A380-900 version is available it will be the most efficient plane. Even the 787 or A350 wont come close to such economics.

I used to fly Boeing 737's and now I have changed Airlines I now have to fly A319's and after nearly 7 years flying 737's I thought I would never like the A319 more but I was compleatly amazed by how easy to fly and controle the A319's were. There is no comparison between the A319 and the 737. The A319 is better in every single way. I wouldn't go back to 737's ever.

RMIT flight training is shit even I finished and in Sydney I still heard that feb 2007 class only 2 people finished out of 24 and mid year 2007 guys has no class everyday they don't really care about student all.

No way! I would never bid on a flight in which I would fly an Airbus. Boeing has it right; no doubt about it. Sorry guys. The Airbus just can't properly react to a pilot's sense of touch.

I used to fly Boeing 737's and now I have changed Airlines I now have to fly A319's and after nearly 7 years flying 737's I thought I would never like the A319 more but I was compleatly amazed by how easy to fly and controle the A319's were. There is no comparison between the A319 and the 737. The A319 is better in every single way. I wouldn't go back to 737's ever.

my uncle used to fly the A319 for a long time, then he flew the 737, he said the 737 was a much better aircraft and he would never go back to Airbus, all depends on a persons opinions, there is no OVERALL BETTER aircraft, all depends on a persons preference, im sure someone will rather fly on a 707 then a A380, or a A300 then a 777, all depends.

But money is what the Airlines want. The A319 is cheaper to run, more fuel eficient and earns more money per passenger than any 737.
You are right. There is no overall better aircraft but there are aircraft that do certain things better than other aircraft.

Btw the title of this vid is wrong. The A380 is not the worlds biggest airplane.Its the worlds biggest passanger plane. Biggest is the Antonov-225 Myria. Nice music and vid though.

I judge on looks only and I think Boeings look better. I guess that's just a matter of taste. Can't say which one is better, a Boeing or an Airbus. It's like comparing a BMW and a Mercedes. Both great cars, but it's a matter of taste which one you'll chose.

The next time you see an airline pilot ask him what aircraft is better?? Ive known guys that fly airbus and they really dont like them as much as boeings. But again what would I know.
