"Ich hab keine Lust" better translates to "I have no desire". Lust can mean lust or desire, but here it fits better as desire. And then at "Lustlos fasse ich mich an", that would not be "listlessly", but "without lust".

@angelofdeathx9 "zu" is used to create an infinitive verb form, i.e. "Ich habe keine Lust etwas zu kauen" translates most directly as "I have no desire to chew anything"; the "zu" becomes enveloped into the verb essentially, creating its English infinitive form.

Mir ist kalt means i feel cold... Ich bin kalt means that i am cold... corporaly... Mir ist kalt means that i feel cold but in my soul not in my body! Are u german?

Nope. I just took two years of German in high school, so my graps on the language is pretty basic. That's why I was asking about what "Mir ist kalt" means.

I try to read the german lyrics as often as possible to just try get better at the language.

It's funny, because of the sentence structure, I think that German is fairly easy to read, but hard to speak.

I'm also learning Mandarin, and by comparison, Madrain is easy to speak, but hard to read and write.

i am half german but i live in greece... i tried to learn mandarin once... i dont think that my attempts was really successful.... but german is not really hard to speak... i think is rll easy... if someone learn u the basics... the onky u have to learn is sch is a strong s and learn to read the letters with the umlaut( the 2 little spots above a, o or u).... these r the only difficulties in german...

Heh, I have the pronunciation down pretty pat, but for some reason the sentence structure eludes me. It's much different than English.

Mandarin's sentence structure though is almost exactly that of English.

Obviously, due to the characters though, writting and reading Mandarin is extremely difficult.

Easiest way to learn it is to read it in it's romanized form. As in "mao" for cat instead of the character.

Rosetta Stone is a great program for learning foreign languages.

we find german stucture hard bcz its very strict... english have a pretty free structure... there r two main rules in german: verb in second place ALWAYS! except if we use weil or other conjuctions excepe ADUSO conjuctions( aber denn sondern oder)... otherwise is reall easy...

"I is cold" or "I be cold" or something, in completely direct translation, but that is not exactly what it means if used ina sentance. Yeah, I have a Rosetta Stone, I'm trying to learn German, so far, I'm doing pretty good :D, any tips?

Your translation is realy good, but the part with the snow is a bit wrong. It doesn't say "I don't feel like going into the snow", but "I don't feel like going OUT of the snow". But the rest is perfect.
