I've played Home-Run Contest itself for about 3 years with a few months break here and there. But I've had SSBM since launch. I only recently got into playing Vs. mode competitively tournament style. lol. all you have you do is keep pressing z while you tap up and down on the d-pad. should work in 2 or 3 regualr grapples.

note: it won't work if the shield comes up, and it shrinks back down after you die. you can make it home in by holding L
