dude even if bardock turned SSJ in this he would not be able to beat Frieza... Bardocks power level was 14,500 when Chilled caused him to go SSJ. So his SSJ power level would only be about in an are of 800,000- 1,250,000. And Frieza in form 3 is 2,000,000. Not to mention the fact his final 100% not worn out is 140,000,000

And when he did turn SSJ his power was only 150,000,000. And still looked like he was loosing to Frieza for a little. and Bardock had a power of 14,000 in Episode of Bardock. so it is NOT 2,000,000,000 i'd say 1,250,000 or 1,300,000 at most

in goku's case its anger, just think about it, has goku ever killed someone for revenge or hate? goku even shows compassion to his enemys. when krillen died goku really wanted to kill freeza, which goes against his kind nature.

remember vegeta? he became a super sayain because he said he quit and doesn't care about power anymore , that went against his pride.

bardock is still a killer, revenge and anger is natural to him

Even in SSJ form, Bardock can't defeat Frieza...He can't kill Dodoria ( 20.000 power level ) when his on normal form ( He have maybe 10 000 - 15 000 power level )...In SSJ form he have, maybe 500 000 - 750 000 power level...Frieza in normal form have 530 000...

Ps : Goku in SSJ form ( Frieza saga ) have 150 000 000 power level...Frieza in final form have 120 000 000

This is why I love this special more than all the DBZ cannon- Bardock doesn't go SSJ, he doesn't win. He fights, he dies. The lead dies after learning that even in the end he can change and try to do right. Or Raditz following Kakarot and Bardock and then eventually Nappa and Vegeta. Imagine the five of them trouncing Frieza and his army. So many different ways events could play out.

Bardock became SS when he felt weak and helpless, pretty much the same with Vegeta when he was surpassed by Goku. The two of them never hit their heads and still did it.
