If you remember how this came about it really says something for Dinobots character, He gave Megatron the Disk when it looked like Predacon victory was inevitable. Now he fights to the death to amend his mistake.

David Kaye to me actually beats out Frank Welker as my favorite Megatron voice don't get me wrong Frank Welker is classic Megatron but David Kaye gave this suave air to Megatron that made him such a badass and he also has one of the best "yes" of any villain.

I remember watching this when I was a fifth grader and damn near crying when I learned that Dinobot actually died after this. Part of me didn't like him simply because he was a decepticon and I assumed that he was going to backstab 'em one-a these days just to overtake Megatron (I figured he was a rendition of Starscream)...to think that Dinobot kicked everyone's ass and saved the humans before he kicked it...makes this one of the most epic times I ever witnessed. Dinobot was my favorite as a kid, and they fortunately decided that unlike other characters that got the bridge dropped on them to make room for new characters, he got a crowning moment of awesome. The only way it could have been made better is he actually killed all the Predacons, but then we couldn't have the rest of the series.

I never understood why the Golden Disk was so important in Megatron's plan. I mean, couldn't he annihilate the valley WITHOUT it ?

Later in the season Megatron reveals that the disk contained instructions from the Decepticon leader. Which he used to convinced the reprogrammed Ravage to side with Megatron. It may also contain the location of the Ark, along Optimus Prime vulnerable to any Decepticon or Predacon.

1. They fly out to join The Matrix. I think it's a cross between Valhala & the gardens of Eden, TF style.

2. BW was much more symbolic and, well, philosophical then the others series.

3. As far as I know, no. The Matrix was metioned, but there was no extra show like with Dinobot.

@gof666 Sounds about rite to me, I just was kinda thinking.....if its something physical - can't ya catch and put it back or in another bot? But I get it, its not just what represents his life force, it represents his soul - making transformers real living things - just of another kind. Nicely done, thanks - I get it now. BW was a bit more out of the box then the other shows - thats why I loved it so much

The CGI was pretty if-fy back then but BW was a truly well told story that I really felt rewarded for watching the whole series untill the end. Great story, loved it. Dino-bot was quite the beast. Megatron was really well spoken, I forgot about that. Haha, what a lamer tho - just like all Megas and Gavitrons always took advantage of the weak and never fought fair.
