That is so awesome I am starting my garden and I am going to be digging up a good piece of property for gardening Ive moved in to the house and wondering if you could give me some tips on how to put together this kind of lovely garden, I have been saving newspaper to wet and put over the grass then I will get some moo poo and then some soil delivered and then I think for the winter I will compost under neath the soil tarp does that sound like a good idea? any tips
Sounds like you are on the right track. Make sure you have at least 6 hours of sun and you are near a water source.Dont overwhelm yourself if this is your first time gardening, its better to start small.
Rhubarb is known to cause arthritis, so it is recommended to supplement diet w/ calcium. Which calcium? I don't know since there are so many. Family member ate a lot of Rhubar ended up in nursing home. Hands got to be half their normal size. Sad. He sure loved rhubarb though.
just curious of what you have growing around your wind mill?
I have planted TONS of morning glory seeds around my deck, sadly (and I dont know how) I never have good luck getting them to grow, which is hard considering those things outlive anything!=@)
Your tomatoes look slightly nitrogen defficient. You might want to mix a very weak solution of 10-10-10 on your next watering. I mean VERY WEAK. You would'nt wanna burn your poor tomatoes! But with that week solution of fertilizer you won't believe how green they get! :) GooD gardening !
As an additional plus..the vibrations generated would also discourage ground rodents. it drives them nuts. lots of folks use small wind chime or spinning contraptions or open bottles to generate ground "Noise" as well.
I'm very impressed how tidy and uniform your garden is and I was wondering do you live in a cold climate for this procedure? I'm in Harbor City, Ca. 25 minutes from LAX airport. I'm also new to Utube. Sorry I didn't need the rest of the comments. Maine is a wonderful state

Your garden is totally awesome. I'm thinking of using plastic mulch as well. Maybe next year. I'm very impressed with your garden. However...my radishes are bigger than yours. Other than that your garden totally wips mine's ass.
Thanks for the comment. I used landscape fabric it lets the water through. ive tried the plastic and i use to have a hard time getting water to the plants. We have had a very wet and cold spring in maine making it dificult to get the garden in. It was 40 degrees last night.
those pumpkins are going to take over that garden! you cant plant that so close! (:

I3addogy 1 year ago
@I3addogy It helps warm the soil up and it also blocks the weeds from growing.

Since u use the landscape fabric do u have to hand water these plants as the rain cannot get in, right?
kokonutbaby1 1 year ago
@kokonutbaby1 Water goes right through the fabric.

They are morning glorys which did not do well that year at all. I might try moon flower this year instead.
beutifullady 3 years ago
Yea I have a moon flowers too, which seemed to just die for no apparently reason last year, but to my surprise they are back this year ;)

What is the function of the windmill? Was the rhubarb a winter crop? These videos are SO helpful. Thank you for sharing your skill with us newbies!
dvori 4 years ago
windmill is just a garden ornament i grow morning glories on it and wanted to show the progress. rhubarb grows all year tastes better in the spring
