I just love this song, Windir and Cor Scorpii are both so good bands. When I listen to their music I just feel how deep and beautiful is it. I just regret to don't hear more the vocals in that song because it's awesome.

@HoHoMeTickle Actually Windir, Bal-Sagoth, Thyrfing, Finntroll, Nazgul and similar bands are more than music or an idea, most of metal bands are actually nothing special, and very much of them suck (like slipknot, metalcore bands etc.) But yeah Metal and Classical music are the best genres which could describe something more through music.

@FolkMetalac Deathcore and Grindcore is more like the punk rock spinoff of Death Metal. That's a genre of it's own, I was talking about Metal music in general, and Slipknot is NOT Metal! I don't care what anyone has to say, they're more like a garage band mixed with Nu-Metal (which isn't considered real Metal) but I have to disagree, different Metal bands appeal to different people. I listen to Metal bands of all kinds from Iron Maiden to Dark Funeral. You like Folk Metal, I like Black Metal...

Probably something is mentioned in the lyrics that relates only a little bit. When I scroll down to hear what people think about the song I shouldn't have to be spammed by a metric fuck ton of people trying to debate to get a small high of thinking you are correct for once in your lowly life.

@UnscCorps1 First, a job interview is nothing like YouTube commentary, I don't think anyone would be stupid enough to go through your scenario (unless they were doing it on purpose for some joke). Two, don't claim to know things about me. I don't go around flexing my "E-peen" (whatever the fuck that means), as I barely comment on YT at all, only once in a while when I really like the music, and VERY rarely do I argue on here (mostly to avoid dumbfucks), and no, I don't think I'm better than you.

holy crap another religious debate. first of all, i dont see the point in saying you cant enjoy windir (or any other folk/pagan/black/whatever band) just because you are a christian or what not. i am a christian, and i love windir, among others. listening to windir does not affect what i believe or not believe. im not gonna try to convert anyone, cuz ultimately what you believe is your choice. Valfar made his choice, and every person has to do that. just dont get all pissed off....

I have to say that's a relatively closed-minded attitude, saying that no one "of any intelligence follows anything abrahamic or judeo christian," considering one of the brightest students at my university does follow one, although he is far from being uptight about it. I do agree that there is a lot of closed-mindedness and ignorance associated with fundamentalism and strict religions, but saying that everyone who believes anything like it is an idiot is taking it much too far.

I know what Valfar sings may not sound like the lyrics, but try to sync what you listen to with what you read and it'll come to you, it's not that hard... Valfar was Norwegian, you know, not a native English speaker... So, yes, of course that part doesn't "sound the same"...

Ive noticed something on most of these folk-metal vids. Pagans and Christians still hate each other. Am I the only catholic that can actually enjoy talking with pagans and getting to know their beliefs? Not people who think their pagans, but real pagans. I wish people in my religion would stop trying to force it on people who are happy with their beliefs. If Im right or wrong at least I lived with GOOD MORALS! If youre a real Christian, you'd get along with pagans. Sorry about the witch hunts.
