  • Huh, you only ever hear Ornshaw get called by his last name. At 0:50 the kid calls him Tom, so it was Tom Ornshaw, aw. Loved Jack, R.I.P

  • @TejMulen Exactly.... That was the character he was supposed to play..

A typical cockney lad from a working class background..

And who can deny the fact that he did it brilliantly......

  • Jack Wild is my favorite <3

hahah "come on Ornshaw! Sock it to MEE!"

  • @TejMulen - Couldn't agree more with you on Marcia...wow what a fox!

  • @TejMulen haaaaa yes she was..

    Those really cool 1970s moves..

  • Thanks

  • love the song, what is it called? please

  • @ThatGirl792

Working on It Night and Day" by Richard Hewson Orchestra

  • you've gotta feel sorry for those boys getting dragged on the dancefloor by their teachers

  • Unbelievably I was besotted with Jack Wild from the time I saw him (at the age of 3!) in Oliver on the cinema screen and then in H.R. Pufnstuf and he was my invisible friend in my first year at school! I fell in love with him all over again when he was in Practical Math with Arthur English... there'll always be a spot in my heart for that serious young man with the sad eyes.

  • love this film, just bought the DVD and a gift mug

  • wats is song??

  • I hated the end for this movie. But I loved Jack Wild on this.

I still don't get why two fourteen(?)-year-olds would get married. xD

  • They were supposed to be twelve.

  • aww, too bad u left out how he kicked the girl XD

  • Those were the days.when teachers used beat some sense into you.and you accepted it now the kids get to sue them.

  • I LOVE JACK

  • loved this film, managed to get a copy on ebay the other day and bought a mug as well, superb

  • Jack was a brilliant actor.

He was so goodlooking as a child and teenager. . .it so sad the toll all those drugs and drinks took on him later in life. R.I.P. Jack Wild

  • Jack Wild. Pure gorgeous.

  • my fav part of this clip starts at 1:37! I luv it!

RIP JACK! you'll be forever in our hearts!

  • whats the name of the song playing in this clip? :)

  • It's called "Working on it Night and Day" sadly I don't know who did it and when I looked it up, I couldn't find a single site, even places where the CD or DVD are being sold that has a listing for the performer. Sad

  • thanks anyway

  • It's by The Aces

  • Thanks so much!

  • i have a copy of the film!

  • Jack wild !! HE WAS SOOOOO HOT ... but yup sadly he died .. still love him he was only 50 +

  • @mikimotogirl - Woahh!! lol :D

    My Cousin was cute!!..

    HOT!! LOL X

  • the reason y he kicked her waz because she said he didn't dance very well

  • I used to have a crush on Mark Lester !

  • Ornshaw/ Jack Wild was SUPER SUPER SUPER SUPER SUPER SUPER HOT!!!!!!!

  • In both movies "Oliver" & "Melody" Mark Lester was the passive easy going type but that Jack Wild, boy O boy! In both those movies and in other acting roles etc., he was one hell of a show stealing, ass kicking whipper snapper.

What a guy! So sad he passed away.

  • Why did he kick her? I haven't seen it!

  • Why did it have to end? That was well good!

  • I have seen this movie so many times I can remember the dialogue. Jack Wild stole the whole movie with his acting ability.

  • I sure wouldn't mind having at least a couple or so good dances with some of those girls.

  • Yeah, Unhooked: I had more than a dance with lovely slim free-range girls like those back in the day before today's dire dishonest drivel, PC/Pure Cowardice, force fed obesity and mindlessjUnK-media muck - the golden rule which always ruled was, 'No Threat No Sweat' - ther was never any shortage of cuddles, kisses and more, and I as never once taken advantage of !

  • love this film, managed to get a copy the other day, really mad on it, even bought a melody mug off Ebay...how sad is that hahaha, great mug though.

love the bit where Ornshaw says he'll be whacking us and singing hey jude at the same time next....priceless!!

  • Your lucky. I'm gonna get a copy of that movie also. Yeah good old Ornshaw. He's quite the show thief just like he was in the movie Oliver.

  • Oh I wanted to see him dance with her! Grrr!

  • the hell i wounted to see the dance

  • yeah me too.

  • This is a great scene. This movie really showed off Jack's acting ability. A lot of stuff he did back then didn't require a lot of talent, which was awful because he had SO MUCH of it. I think his portrayal of Ornshaw, the troubled youth was really amazing.

  • Who is the singer/group?

  • The Richard Hewson Ochestra with Barry Howard on Vocals singing "Working On It Night And Day"

  • Gracias ! Muy bueno !!
