Is this song from Final Fantasy? I know Nobuo Uematsu worked on the music for Super Mario RPG so that's definitely his work, pretty recognizable. It sadly will never happen. It is Square Enix's game, and their contract with Nintendo is long gone. Paper Mario was supposed to be Super Mario RPG's sequel though. They share many similarities.

@awesomeahow actually, nintendo is trying to make Geno relive in other games, but it's a copyright thing with Square. Since Square went to PS, they got the rights for everything in their games EXCEPT for the 'original' nintendo stuff, such as mario bowser peach yoshi and all the original mario monsters. The other stuff, such as Geno (let's say Axem Rangers, Booster, etc etc etc etc), got away to Square in the separation. But Nintendo knows, a maybe someday we'll see Geno back :)
