  • I read that after Captain America: Reborn, the original Captain America, Thor and Iron Man will all be rejoing the Avenger, I with I knew wich one, they have to many Avengers teams right now

  • nice prediction on the number of avengers titles alex what do we have 4 now

  • I like the Ms.Marvel comic line and many disagree on the writing, but not only that you can relate to the character as she struggles through things that normal do (Weight, Relationship's, Emotions, Etc) She Acts as a person would in her situation i guess. And everyone knows weight is a big thing with girls, so wouldnt that be portrayed, so they have something to relate to if they read?. Her Ex-Alcholism reminds us that she is human and you can still be a hero but fall. Love Ms Marvel Series!

  • I think the Secret Avengers need Thor to balance out there rosters against the Mighty Avengers.

  • I think that both Avengers teams should find themselves lost in a distant part of the galaxy, combining forces to reach earth. It's a wacky idea that just might work...

  • I've read the new warriors it could be better, it would be great if the baby from messiah complex allowed all the mutants post m-day to restart theyre powers!!! Great idea!

  • That might be the case since it gave Rouge a clean slate!

  • my problem with the whole skrull story line coming up is this, it will take all the dareing and cool things that marvel has done, (like civil war, both avengers, iron man and cap america) and ruin it. the skrulls did it all. and once they kick the skrulls asses, everything will go back to normal. and like the spider-man one more day story, the ending will be a huge co-out. marvel builds a great story line, but normaly drops the ball.

  • During the Loeb/Yu run of Wolverine, they released black and white variants, and honestly, I think they were better than the colored versions. It really depends on the quality of the penciler.

  • i'm pretty sure you mean the Loeb/ BIANCHI run on wolverine

  • Pete,,

Please, please PLEASE,, when you DO snap and kill them both,,, would you be kind enough to do it on air?

    Thanks,,,

    great show guys

  • You guys should start taping your weekly comic book club shows. I've seen a few fan uploaded ones of them and they're really good. They'd be even better not in shaky cam mode.

  • Hey morons! why not talk about how David mack swiped every single image in New Avengers#39 from other artist's published work?

  • When Pete says "Shoot it down," Justin's face is priceless! He probably had this flash forward when Pete does the deed, hee.

Pete just better relax though, I don't want Justin mauled or anything, he is the funniest on this show!

I loved this episode, so much drama!

  • I DON'T want the teasing to stop as it's one of my favorite things about the show. I mean Pete will take Alex/Justin down anyway, so might as well go with it further! It's a lot of fun! Alex says if this is 'The day'....that anger has to build up over a period of time before he snaps...so I give 'till May! HeeHee

  • HAH! These guys think Pete is joking about taking them down, they don't know he is dead serious! We'll just see when we see Justin and Alex's corpses floating over the Hudson. Alex knows that Pete does not like it, but he does it anyway! I love it!

  • Black 'n' White Rules!

    sometimes

  • do you get paid from the google ads?

  • I really want to know what yuou guys think about the Catwoman series

  • ooh me too

  • I really liked Thor #7 a lot.

  • Whoa, colorist were mentioned. That is pretty much what I do for a living. I'm glad you were giving us props. haha, now can you remember a one of our names though? =]

  • Pete can't see colors because he isn't TRYING hard enough...

  • i wouldn't be surprised if iron man was a skrull and the iron man skrul was the one who started civil war and not tony stark

  • Sweet Sode Guys.

  • Oops. Conjugated a verb wrong. Damn. I'm stoned. Great show(s).

  • I wish more shows--any kind of show--was this fun and this to the point, no commercials, no filler, just good old comics and fun.

  • is comic book orange dead

  • and pete needs a hug

  • Pete made a deal with Mephisto and doesn't need glasses anymore.

  • Pete, the next time Alex endorses a Spider-Man comic PLEASE strangle him!!!

    Spider-Man Blows!!!

  • Go Pete! And what the hell is that Justin is wearing? Looks like he's dressed like a Marvel Zombie. You know, guts hanging out.

  • could some one explain scrolls to me

  • Please review Young X-men when it debuts. I'm guessing it's gonna suck, but I'd like to be sure.

  • Colorists are essential to comics,,because it gives them live..

like some of the Jeph Loeb/Tim Sale comics or when Richard Isanhove or Tim Bradstreet does covers...

  • Pete, where are your glasses? I'm scared of change and I want them back.

  • indeed, where are the glasses?

    btw, Justin... stop sharing.

btw btw, I think Pete can't see colors because he's just like characters from SIN CITY. only thing he sees in when everything goes red, probably before he snaps...

  • if you are reveiw ms,marvel that must mean it's kick ass

  • pete looked like he was about to go postal after they were talking about combining the avengers.

    lol.

  • what happened to pete's glasses?

  • Damn straight. He looks out of character.

  • Kool review once agen.

  • Think you guys could review an issue of Sonic the Hedgehog (185 to 188)

  • lol

  • New Avengers #39 rocked!! Great show, guys.

  • Im with Pete. DONT TOUCH THE NEW AVENGERS!

  • Think you guys could review an issue of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic? It's a pretty good read that not enough people are picking up.

  • Interesting that you guys brought up Superman: For All Seasons along with Pete's revelation; dunno if you knew, but Tim Sale is also color blind! 'sTrue!

  • I actually avoid Marvel titles because of their coloring process. Considering that they recolor the older trades which were handled very at the time, but I do find it offensive when there is gradiants in a 70s comic title. But personally I prefer coloring to not be as intrusive, but it gives vague directions so your eye follows along with the flow of the art. A colorist like Dave Stewart shows a lot more range in titles like Hellboy, New Frontier and Conan then majority of colorists out there

  • Do more DC please! Marvel its fine but where's DC? Batman more importantly.

  • Only black and white books i get into are Sin City books.

  • I say we start taking bets not only on the day of Pete's inevitable psychopathic rampage...but on the method of justins' dispatch. Ranging from the mundane braining him with a brick..to the less likely but far more entertaining throttling the life out of him with his own colon.Step right up, place yer bets.

  • I say Pete rips out Justin's spine, a la Sub-Zero.

  • Ive been predicting Pete snapping ever since I started watching "the stack" . Justin is a little bitch(sorry Justin fan's) but he reminds me of that kid in school who had such a big mouth, and you know how easy it would be to knock him out but you dont because he always shoots off in public and is never around in those dark alley ways where you hope he would be. I think I've said enough..lol.Thats probably why the show is soo good ...because Pete,Justin and Alex are so different.

  • Colorists can make a huge difference. Look at Stephano Caselli's pencil's Runaways/Young Avengers and then compare them to his pencils in Hack/Slash.

Vast difference in Colorist work/design is the only real difference between the two works, and yet, that difference is vast.

  • Why is it so far I've seen nothing but Marvel reviews?

  • We get early copies of comics from Marvel and sometimes we get them early from DC. We love both DC and Marvel and aren't biased. But we need early issues so we can shoot the shows and edit them so that you guys aren't watching a show with comics that are 1 or two weeks old already. So, this past week, we didn't have any early DC comics to work from. Next week, we're definitely going to include DC titles to make up for this week's mostly Marvel shows. Sorry, DC fans. Good stuff is coming.

  • This was great episode. I like that you got into detail about storytelling and the response to the colorist question was great. Comic book art, for me, have always been about line and form. The color has always been a kind of added bonus. It would be interesting to see a comic book without black lines and only color. Technically, we've seen that with the painted comics, but I mean colors separated in the traditional fashion sans inked pencils. New Avengers 39 looks interesting!

  • This whole Skrull thing reminds me of a similar storyline - Remember DC's Millenium? "Who's a Manhunter?"

  • I normally don't like comics without color. But it depends. The Walking Dead series is mostly black, white, and gray--it's a great series I never miss. The story and art is more important to me, so color isn't the end all, be all. Color definitely adds a dimension that wouldn't be there otherwise.

  • Great show as usual. Good info. Hope Pete snaps on video.

  • haha, love you guys, keep up the awesome work!
