@MattTheSayan On the camera part I COULD NOT agree more. We wouldn't have to pay extra money to get the photos out of the camera! People are asses. They just want us to pay more so they dismissed instant cameras :(
That Pizza Hut building is beautiful. I don't want more pulp in my orange juice (if I drinked orange juice, that is. I like it but it gives me a rash. Is "drinked" a real word?). They seriously need to make a practical, well-made, high-quality digital camera with the option of printed out good-sized copies of photos without using some "portable" (my ass) printer dock that has to be carried separately and takes a minute to turn-on. Your tapes should be in the Library of Congress or something.
I came here to look through these old commercials to reassure myself that I didn't remember any commercials with these girls like they have now. Every commercial now has some dumb girl who talks like she's got a cork in her ass and hasn't farted in 20 years.
I'm pretty sure I've seen an ad where Dr. J now endorses Dr. Pepper (as part of their "Trust me, I'm a doctor" campaign, which is kind of similar to this ad). Given Cosby's long ties to Coke, I'm betting we won't see him switch over.
That family lost a lot of their bargaining position when the little girl screamed "That's our house!" Probably shouldn't say you want it before you hear the cost.
Thanks to that drunk driving ad, I was scared to clink glasses for years.

Ahh the eighties, when times were simpler, people were friendlier, and when nobody had to worry about a lawsuit for having a bunch of people running around in swimsuits. Can I go back there please?!?!
ah back when pizza hut and the others had stretchy cheese mozzarella compared to now, most places use the provalone blend of cheese, not as good... i miss the stretchy cheese!!
Huh?? They had cd players in the early 80's??? 00:04 ... I thought cd's weren't really known until the late 80's.. I was born in 86 so of course I wouldn't know all of this.
@ATLien333 They first showed up around '84, but many people still stuck to buying records for some time after that. Finally caught wind by late '80s, and by '92 you couldn't even buy records anymore.
i'm a big fan of all things 80s, including the commercials. looking at these commercials takes me back to the decade of the rubixs cube, e.t., and many more!! thanks a lot!!
7:09 This is so strange I did the exact same thing. It didn't end very well, first there was no camera and the people throwing the party didn't know me
If those people in the michelob commercial were still that young today, they would probably be on that show Jersey Shore. BTW, love the jingles from the 80s'.
This is the best collection of 80's commercials that I've ever seen! And thanks for posting the Bob Beamon commercial 8:08 because that was one of the most heart-touching commericals in history since it was played during the Olympics when Carl Lewis was attempting to break his long jump record.
I love your compliations, but I think the best thing about them is the old PSAs. The alcohol glasses crashing into each other was a classic I must've seen a thousand times a kid.
Think you'll ever go through the vault and make a video of only PSAs?
Converse must have had alot of models in the 80's besides Chuck Taylors. I didn't know they had that many shoe models. Yet again, I was born in 1994, so unfortunately I never lived the 80's. I wish it was that right now, everything is still the same, all our houses, cars etc, but the calender reads January 1, 1980 so that it would be the 80's all over again so that I would know what it is like to live the 80's.
Yes, despite what some hipsters would have you believe, Converse makes more than just Chuck Taylors. A quick look at their website shows they still make many models of track & tennis shoes that don't look much different than the "Jimmy Connors" model.
Your VCR head needs cleaning! lol! I miss the 80's!

Pizza Hut is that one pizza that you can only eat every once in a while. It tastes good the first slice, then tastes worse than shit the second.
