I just got this 2 weeks ago and followed the initial charging instructions. Everything went great. Running MUIU and I'm a heavy teenager user. Normally get about 1 day but my school sucks with service. On the original battery I would be out of it by 1 pm!! Totally worth the bulkyness!!! Greatly recommended!

@CycleMan2200 yeah i was wondering about the display too, he must've downloaded a different interface from the android market place, it looks more like the iphone with the horizontal screen unlock bar and such. anyways it doesn't really surprise me, htc phones are usually extremely customizable. In any case it's definitely the original

I purchased the Vzm 2150 batt and it seems as if doesn't last nearly as long as it should. With moderate usage I still have to charge it daily. If I stream Pandora or any fm radio app, I will not get hours of use as others are claiming. I tried to keep the use of my phone down to a minimum today meaning I made one phone call that lasted 7 mins and only text a total of 50 text messages, I didn't play any games today and I set the screen brightness to 25%. It sits at 45%.

how many hours straight have you listened to Pandora on it, before the battery caution of yellow comes on?...I listen heavily to streaming radio , 8-10 hours max a day..

@dresden67 I've never listened to Pandora for that long on end, if I can this weekend I will try from full to yellow. But, life will depend on whether your using wifi or on 3G...

@dresden67 I streamed Slacker all day from 100% down to 15% and lasted about 9 1/2 hours and that was about 2 hours from 3G and checked twitter and facebook constantly and browsed the web for about a hour... And im using SkyRaider 4.0 ROM

Does the battery heat up? I have noticed the OEM Battery get's quite hot with heavy use.

@trarea It does at a little during charging, or under really heavy use. Say if I force my processor to run constantly at 1 ghz, or multitasking with lots of power hungry apps.

@MarkJRust I could not wait for you to respond, to my question so I ordered the battery on Amazon even with only three hours of charge before I had to get to work...I was delighted when the battery lasted to 50% after four hours with a lunch break of 1 hour, was able to charge it and was able to listen to live streaming radio on the 3g network as well as pondora for another 4 hours..I used to use Cinch external battery from Amazon as well, but wanted something different ...

@trarea I does on occasion, only once have I taken the battery out of my phone because it was getting dangerously hot (for my phone). I was in a building without much service strength, and I was trying to browse the web and stream video. So, it was constantly trying to stay connected to 3G and give me my content, which resulted in the hot battery.

i noticed on amazon they have Acase 3500 mAh Extended Life Battery with cover for HTC DROID Incredible (Black) for 25 bucks! whats the difference between the seido and the Acase cuzz the seidio battery is 53 bucks and the acase is 25 bucks thats a no brainer but idk if the acase is a bad brand or what?

@bishopcody12 Sounds like a great deal, I'm not familiar with the brand but at that price its worth a try. If its not working out for you, you can always return it.

@MarkJRust Out of curiosity, when you initially charged the battery did the orange LCD light up or was it completely off? Because I just purchased this battery recently and I tried to charge it but I don't know if the battery is defective. I can't even turn on the phone with the new extended battery in while it's charging straight out of the box.

@funkeroni My battery had a charge even before I plugged it in, if the orange light is not lighting up then I would consider it defective and return it asap.

@cnsagency This is the customizable power control widget that comes with cyanogen mod ROMs for rooted phones. But, if you are unrooted or running a stock ROM here is an app that will do the same job for $1.99.
