Smooth as butter! I really didn't want to like the Barden pickups, given their high price tag, but looks like I'm going to have to bite the bullet now.
So much digital clipping on this it's painful to listen to at moments. Otherwise, the guitar sounds nice. Maybe a little "hi-fi" compared to a regular tele single coil?
I like the pickups. very clean crisp sound. very dynamic and responsive, Probably more so than any pickup i used. Not as warm sounding as i would like and a little to hi-fi for me .. but awesome pickups just the same.

I'm planning a build and have to plan well cos I'm in New Zealand and everything has to come from the states. I came across you researching Barden PuPs. Isn't that what the late Danny Gatton used? Joe Barden pickups should be banned because they make my other guitars sound weak.I earn my living playing guitar and I promise you once you use them live you cant go back.And you can cover lots of styles not just country,a few weeks back I was playing Led Zep stuff and it sounded amazing.

Yes I'd also like to know how the capacitor is wired into the guitar's circuitry for that out of phase sound. Thanks for this great demo.
