  • Because The Hangover ruined Phil Collins version, this is the best version to me. Crockett and Tubbs FTW!

  • wat movie sis this?

  • What genre is nonpoint?

  • I can't believe your all arguing about what's better.. It's an amazing fucking song the song itself, In The Air Tonight, both by phil collins and nonpoint, it's fucking amazing. It's fucking beautiful man! Nonpoint's version wants to make you go beat down a mother fucker that just dissed your woman! Phil Collin's version makes you so calm and peaceful, and makes you remember all those good Disney days, it's fucking beautiful man, stop hating, love them both!

  • I saw them do this the other night opening for Mudvayne in Omaha. I didn't even know who Nonpoint was really. However, the energy was really cool and sounded great live. I'm 40 too so this song is no stranger to me. Go ahead Nonpoint.

  • This was a good remake to this song. I liked the song before but I really like it better now. The movie was also really good(Miami Vice).

  • this is the only good cover of "In The Air Tonight"

  • One of my fav songs (i love phill's version) by one of my fav band (nonpoint version is awsome)

  • lets not forget who's song this is, phil collins, not nonpoint. and also think why nonpoint covered it...because the original song is brilliant.

  • YOU CANT COMPARE BOTH SONGS BECAUSE THEY'RE BOTH BEST IN DIFFERENT MOODS! tHE PHIL COLLINS VERSION FEELS GOOD WHEN UR MAKIN LUV TO GIRL IN A HOT TUB. THIS ONE FEELS GOOD PROBABLY WHEN UR ON A HIGHWAY SPEEDING BLAA

  • i would say +1

  • oh most definately bro. i agree with that 100 %.

  • they put a gr8 twist to an already good song,

  • exactly! i like both versions but this ones better

  • One of my 25 favorite covers of all time.

  • i got nothin wrong with nonpoint, don't get me wrong, they have great music, but i think they ruined this song

  • Wrong, the only thing that ruins a song is the people that put it down for others to see.

  • Well thats your opinion, I think they did it justice. Listen to the lil kim one. That fucked it straight up the arse

  • Miami Vice

  • some one in a comment said that this was from a movie. what movie is this from?

  • Miami Vice

  • totally bitchin remake, i love it!!!

  • the scene in this movie when this song came on gave me chills, this video kinda sucks but in the movie its fucking awesome.

  • wat movie?

  • thats right, its miami vice.. .i never actually noticed the tune in the movie... :D lol

  • Awful.

  • bad ass song ^^ loved it when it came out

  • they are playing guitar...

the're just not playing what you wanted to hear, but yeah it might sound better? but I like how it sounds right now

  • i actually like it. it really fits the movie and still keeps it close to the original. and the thing you have to remember, Non-Point is pure hard rock, not metal, they just take an alternative sound and make it as hard as they can make it. but i will give you that they lost the dark sound, but you gotta admit, it is still a GREAT song

  • this a great pump up song!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • how old is this? i thought this song was new when i heard it on 96.1 the project

  • The song? 2004 I believe. The video came out a day or so before I posted it.

  • In the Air Tonight

    Single by Phil Collins

    from the album Face Value

    Released5 January 1981

Definately not a new song though this is a pretty good cover of it

  • no i know i was talking about the cover by nonpoint. i was thinking it was a new cover since i've been hearing it a lot lately. trust me i know all about genisis and phil. and the whole sinade o conner like video. i cant spell her name. but yeah i know. i was just trying to figure out how old this cover was lol. sorry bout that.

  • its pretty old not recent at all

  • I only like this version because i like his voice... it gives this song a different tone.. but still good.

  • what alblem is it on

  • This song is on Nonpoint's album, Recoil.

  • man this version is good is good and rocknrolls but phils version is nice rck

  • epic.

  • i like the instrumentals to this song..its hot..i feel it in the air right now lol XD

  • this is the song right here

  • Aww man... the brought in the drums wayyy too early. Killed the drum solo.

  • Nonpoint Rocks.

    EVERY Song of Nonpoint Rocks.

    5* from our team.

  • just so ya know Phil Collins made this song lol man they fucked up that drum solo bad this versions alright but i think phil collins (the original) is just better. He gives it a dark mood nonpoint i dont think anyways , keeps the song a bit bright

  • this version is i like, i think its really good, but i like Phil Collins vocals more, i mean that guy had some pipes man.

  • i dont think they kept the dark mood though like i klnow it sounds repetitive when i say this but its so essential to the song

  • you are right, the mood of the original was sort of like a dark, sad and slow song, this is just more of a soft rock style version that lost itself in being rock, insted of being what it was sapposed to be.

  • song goes great wit the video

  • This is how a cover is remembered. Like Dashboard Confessional covering Weezer's Jamie...or the Chili Peppers covering the Ramones' Havana Affair....

  • Lol, I never heard of either of the other two you mentioned.

  • Well, if you can check them out, you will hear the difference and the reason why those are phat cover songs and not regurgitated bullsheet.

  • Spicy!!!! This shit is really good and with a very modern and appropriate touch for the remake movie. Of course, we all thank the genius behind it: Mr. Phil Collins!!

  • I loved the original

Then a Rockband makes a new spin

it's hard to say which is better

    their both good!

  • Mmm...some guys here pretend to compare a song written and performed with a full 80's rock style with a "remaked" version of the same song performed by a completely different (very heavy) metal band +/- 28 YEARS LATER...and then pretend to happily throw shit on one of the 2 versions...

    ....

    ....

    ....

    Wow...i'm impressed...

I like them both very much, different feeling for the same song that i love :) GREAT WORK!

  • lol i just realized this is the song stewie sings on petergeist XDXDXD lol

  • Phil Collins = the ultimate, original badass...

These guys = The stuff that comes out of Phil Collins' ass (which is still a better state of being than 90% of the world's population, so...)

  • I know phil collins is the best version but i like 2 pacs more

  • This is probably the worst remake of a song that I have ever heard. Phil Collins will always have the better version.

  • Its pretty good.

Phil collins obviously will always have the better version. but this is pretty freeaking sweet

  • of course Phil will always have the better version, but you're nuts. it's a great remake.

  • If this is a good remake then I've lost some respect for my generation. Nobody respects older music or movies anymore. Its like "what can ruin next because we have no originality" and it gets sadder every year.

  • good remake, but i think its just a little too much. though, i always listen to it for my own pleasure. ;)

  • better than phil collins version 2

  • Brings back a war with our jets going off "In the air Tonight!

  • not bad 4/5 and fave

  • These guys are awesome! I hope they're thinking of releasing another album anytime soon. So much for the haters.

  • cool song !!!!

  • this song reminds me of a devorce

  • I like this song!:)

  • this song is freakin amazing. i listen to the most heaviest shit in metal, but this may be my favorite song. i listen to it everyday before i skate. nice cover

  • the black guy is the character in punisher:war zone

  • wow this has to be one of the greatest covers in the history of covers

  • a great addition that takes nothing away from collins

  • wow, the blue man group is in 2:44

  • even though i like this song, no one can compare to the great PHIL COLLINS!

  • whether it can ;)

  • Drumming doesn't seem strong enough, but then again, not many can match Phil

  • Awesome song!!!

I love the "I remember..." part, Stewie sang it in that one Family Guy Ep. where he was stuck in the tv lolz...

  • that is the part of the song that always gets me...Brilliant.

  • What was that episode called again???

  • It was called Petergeist XD

  • NON POINT!

  • he is such a great singer he sounds exactly the same live and in studio i love seeing these guys live

  • ...lol not even close.

  • i guess you could say that......if youve never listened to sevendust before..

  • Music is fine...Vocals seems a bit weak, though. Soft voice.

  • and thats the point...the soft voice adds to the song. i love this song....one of nonpoints betters if you ask me, even if it is a cover.

  • Hmm, I dont think i've heard any of there other songs.

  • i like it.if his voice was to harsh it wouldbe to heavy

  • nah..phil collins original is way better...

i would love disturbed to try cover it...

they would do an awesome work...

  • i agree that would be simply awesome!!!!!!

  • Bwhahahahah...

  • there best song

  • A great song for a great movie

  • lol. it was closely one of the worst movies ever.

  • Great cover, shitty movie.

  • hahaha agreed this movie was..... i cant even think of anything to make it worthwhile

  • i love the original, you cant beat it, but for the sake of rock music that wasnt too bad... kudos to these guys

  • better than original.. good cover.

  • Sorry, but there's no way THIS is better than the original.

  • better than the lost prophets version at least :)

  • what is the song name in Collin Farrel and

    Gong Li's love scene?

  • you are sean lennon and hitlerist loverest pop rock flop laughered at. funny. thumbs up

    lol

    hold onnnnnnnnnn

  • For a cover to top it's original it has to be amazing. And people will still just remember the original. This does good though, but it's far from the original IMHO.

  • while its not as good as the Org. it still kicks ass, since its more rockish

  • phil's is better because it old school..

  • i think this version is better

  • This is of my Fav. songs from NonPoint ^.^ never saw the movie though o.O

  • cool! this is something new. from 80's to hard rock. AWESOME (:

  • i personally think this version is better...phil collins version is great...but its much to slow and much more depressing...with the edgy sound it doesnt seem as depressing =]

  • I would say that this version is more up-beat, but Phil's the original...Also the best!

  • cant be better then org but still rly awesome

  • Not impressed. Not better than the original.

  • this cover is awesome, i love cruisin down the highway and crank dis shit!

  • almost better than the original :)

  • this is the an amazing cover

  • dmx performs this better? combined $#@$@#$ rap with it it needs to be burned

  • but they did a good job making the song more rockish for todays culture!

  • 20 pack from "I Love New York" performs to this song in NYC's "Forbidden Nights". Just a fact I'd share...

  • Both the origial by phil and this cover are both amazing in their own ways

  • One of the better Nonpoint videos.

    Love this cover!

  • "A"mazing cover

  • someone put this song with killswitch trailer steven seagals new movie

  • Phil collins is soooooo much better!!!

u guys have no idea what ur talkin about!!!

  • I have to agree, this is awesome, but Phil's version is untouchable.

  • I agree. Its good and its a great twist on a great song, but nothing is ever as good as the original. remember coke II?

  • I think Nonpoint's version of "In the Air tonight" is better than the one Phil Collins made. Plus, Nonpoint's musical equipment kicks ass: Ernie Ball, Music Man, Randall Amplification, Ampeg, Dunlop, Red Monkey Straps, etc.

  • this is better then old phil

  • Cool song, but i like Phil Collin's version of it better!

  • What does this song even have to do with death or Tupac(who did have it coming by the way) come on the fact is if you step on dangerous peoples toes you're gonna get pinched. But yeah this is a great cover.

  • I'm not supporting gangs or anything, but tupac was more than just a thug. He was a genius who had a rough life. He rapped about the truth and wouldn't afraid to say what he thought. You need to think before you speak. No one deserves death cause theres no coming back from that.

  • hmm if no one deserves death does that mean we should all live forever? its a part of life everyone has their own opinions thats what you think and others will think differently same with everything

  • LOL Tupac a genius?? Come on now. And I really dont think he had a rough life going to art school and all, you know the ones that you have to have money to go to.

  • He deserved it, he talked shit about stupid pointless crap, what do you think he was kiled over?

Guy had it coming, good riddance.

  • What does this song even have to do with death or Tupac(who did have it coming by the way) come on the fact is if you step on dangerous peoples toes you're gonna get pinched. But yeah this is a great cover.

  • finally a decent cover of this song

  • I feel like a dirt kid for liking this..

  • this the best cover of this song ever!!!!!

  • it s weird that gta vcs had this song and vice city was modeled after miami.

    get it.

gta vcs - in the air tonight

miami vice - in the air tonight

also nonpiont much better than phil collins

  • ...gotta agree ...but only on the metal part of the song...the drums in Phil's version are fuken EPIC (and the voice is kinda shaggy a bit...not much)...all in all the song and video are fuken awesome...i still gotta say that Collins's drums are better

  • better than the Original

  • caca thats not what this song is about at all....its about the fact that Phil Collins had trouble dealing with the divorce from his wife in the early 80's man....

  • its kinda hard to believe that this song is about a man seeing another man drown and didnt help him....

  • its not its about phill collins divorce with his wife. just thought id clear that up

  • um then what is it about considering the man himself said it was. He may have lied but I have a storng feeling you don't know what he wrote this song about. "just thought i'd clear that up"

  • I actually like It BETTER than Collins` Version. But seriously People,We`re talkin` 2 COMPLETELY different tones.Collins` Version is more quiet & bitter while Nonpoint`s is more intense & soulful.

  • good analgy mate

  • They made a very good job in this song.

The bass and batery are very nice.

Very well done! The movie is also very nice.

  • Amazing song!!!!

  • Disturbed Nonpoit and In flames =)!!

  • hell yea....

  • fuckin excellent cover...say them with Disturbed & Stone Sour in Dayton...kicked major ass!

  • I love nonpoint theyre awesome! Love his voice

  • Amazing!!!!! AMAZING JOB WITH THE SONG!!!

  • the best

  • WOOOOO amazing song

  • amazing tune

  • evry body uses this song that shows how legendary it is imean 2pac used it

  • 2 pac wtf are you talking about thats phil collins fool 2pac is a faggot im glad he's dead, complete menace.

  • same here 2 pac deserve to get shot

  • agreed

  • wow ur glad at the death of someone whom you probably never even met you knew personally.

  • Kick ass song

  • awesome cover but clip needs to be louder

  • No u suck, Phil Collins was awesome, wtf did u think Nonpoint covered his song dipshut

  • i love how nonpoint puts so much emotion into their music...like..this version has so much emotion in it.....its good when your sad or mad...or feeling any emotion at all..thats how good it is

    great cover!! bravo nonpoint!!

  • YEAH MAN!!!!!

  • dude this song is fuckin awsome i listen to it every night on project 96.1

  • really good cover.
