Some scripture is, and some isn't. The first 13 years of your prophet's mission was peaceful, the last 8 he was a warlord, murderer and terrorist. Of the 114 suras, 90 are peaceful and 24 about fighting and killing infidels and kafr. The Sunnah in its entirety makes for violence. Muhammad said jihadis will receive the highest rewards in paradise. Islam's history and scripture is PROOF that it is NOT a "Religion of Peace," but one of terrible violence.
