I love this theme variation. Its brilliant and so wonderfull. I wish the TV Movie had been written better, because it would have withoubt doubt kicked off another TV Series in the UK, and we would have had proper life into the 8th Doctor.

I remember first hearing this theme at the end of the Zagreus story and feeling slightly chilled (not in a good way,), but then again, that could be because of the ending to Zagreus AND that music combined.

My only criticism with this is the music. One of the worst arrangements of the Doctor Who theme since the Delaware theme in the 70's (used once). The current theme is the best

I actually really like the silence in this video before the music comes in. Silence in space is really spooky - much more interesting than bloops and clicks and whooshy noises.

News is out that Murray Gold (who has provided the theme and music for New Who so far) is going to be continuing into Moffatt's time as producer too. Don't know if he'll be continuing beyond 2010. He might just be there to ease the transition into the new production team and Doctor. Even if we assume the theme music won't be in exactly the same bombastic style though, it's likely to bare some resemblance as it isn't a whole new imagination approaching it. We'll have to wait and see.

If the TV Movie was a success in American [ like it was here in the UK ] which sadly it wasint , i think Doctor Who would probably have returned in 1997 with Paul Mc.Gann's Eighth Doctor , and this sort of Title Sequance would have been used by using footage of the opening TV Movie intro , but with the music from this Video made by Big Finish from there Eighth Doctor Audio Storys . Too late now thou concidering we now have Doctors 9 and 10 .

I don't know why Big Finish changed the theme. I like this one, dark and mysterious, just like the eighth Doctor. Sorry if I sound like a complete idiot saying that, I just had to.
