That is the modern day equivalent of Jesus eating at a brothel or in Al-Quida's head quarters. Does that make HIM evil? I Scripture says that it is not the healthy that need a doctor, but the sick. How many times do you think Christ has used Mark in the lives of people trying to run from problems in a bar? Bars are just another battlefield for God.

This is nonsense imagine Paul going to downtown Jerusalem telling the Jews to tip well. Somethings are none of your business Pastor. This is where men take power that is none of their business . Suppose his people began to put less in the till so they can have more to tip.If your people are not effected enough by your messages to have a well rounded life Your just not allowed to tell peole to tip well.This is total nonsense. I don't believe Pastor Mark is directing the Church 2 a legalism of tipping, but by his example and beseech he is encouraging those watching to actively exercise the unmerited Grace we have been given by God. The hope is that the Gospel of grace and a selfless heart will be expressed if we think 2 tip well and not horde things such as $ for ourselves.

Golden Rule: "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." - end of the day if you don't want 2 tip...Don't

If the restaurant worker needs to be tipped then he is not being paid enough AND HE IS BEING EXPLOITED.

Certain cultures don't express themselves in the same way, so it is understandable if u don't see it fit 2 tip. However, the factor of being Gracious towards others should not be overlooked. If u noticed he did not use any biblical reference other than the e.g. of unmerited grace to justify "tipping well". All he was saying is think about how the Gospel reflects from the believer in the example the church makes within the community.

Perhaps he can be generous in understanding why the community he gets lots of money from may not be able to tip as well as he does...

Wow! I always tip with notes although I'm studying and my parents give me the allowance. But God provides, because I managed to save up 600 in less than a year even though my parents gave me 500 per month! Now God's grace really works in very beautiful ways!

I'm a christian. I used to wait tables and tend bar. Know this - when you pray for your meal the staff watches. They then eavesdrop on your conversation to see; are you a gossip, are you polite and respectful saying "please" and thank you", are your kids well behaved, are you arguing with your wife or loving her. I used to eavesdrop on believers all the time and it was such a turnoff to Jesus. When they see you pray they think, "Oh no - they're gonna be rude, not tip, then ask me to church."

I used to wait tables. Sunday is universally known to be the worst day to work in the service industry. Christians are well-known to be rude, demanding and shitty tippers.

its the Gospel, andy. did u deserve to be saved? no, u were shown grace and mercy. showing kindness and grace to others can set up a possible ministering to them the Gospel the next time .(esp. if u frequent the resturant like u and i do charley o's).

not saying that i tip well everytime...i dont. im far from it, and u know that. but i would say it is applying the Gospel to our everday lives.

Maybe it is not so easy for me to understand, because I am not American and tipping here is not, what is always expected. But. What U said for me sounded like - if you are poor, do not come and eat like we, rich people do. That is just disgusting.

The total cost of the meal includes tip. in business language the gross cost of the meal is what your food cost. The net cost is after tax and tip. You don't leave out tax because you don't have enough money do you? If you don't have enough money to afford the whole meal then don't eat out. eat ramen and don't tip yourself.

This is simple so I'll explain, when I go to eat out, I look at the price of what I order and make sure I have just enough even for tax, and after that I sometimes only have like 1 or 2 dollars, not enough to leave a ''big tip'', so I will leave my last dollar, its all I got. So I think if you can afford to tip well, then you should, but if you can't then you can't, simple as that.

Dude. I don't know if you're kidding or being a troll or what, but on the off-chance you're serious: This is really simple. Eating out costs like 30% more than the price listed on the menu. If you can't afford the 10% (for tax) and the 20% (for tip) on top of the "listed" price, then you can't afford to go out. If you're a Christian, and you can't pay the 30% above the list price for the meal, then please do us all a favor and eat in.

Not sure what you're talking about, but I'm trying to say there are four options. You can be rich and a bad witness, or you can be rich and a good witness, or you can be poor and a bad witness, or you can be poor and a good witness. Whether rich or poor, we still can make decisions to be a good witness. I just want Christians to have a good witness, that's all.

im a server so this actually made me like this guy 10 times more and i already thought he was a great guy lol...i HATE sundays because of the ''churchgoer'' (not christians...true christians tip me well)and i gotta say with the thousands and thousands of people eating after church all across the country i gotta tell ya ...alot of people are turned off to church or God because of them.....ive been in the industry for 12 years so ive seen it ALOT!...its the reason most servers dont attend church:(

Awesome clip. Most church people don't realize the kind of message that they're sending to wait staff by being stingy. My wife was a waitress for a while, and on several occasions, diners would just leave one of those Bible tracts that looks like a folded $20 bill. What a terrible way to show Christ's love!
