@llbewizll No, it originally started out as a GReddy SP-II full catback, when I was asked to test fit the REMUS mufflers at a steal of a price (Org $425 per muffler!!!, I paid just the test fit installation welding). I cut off the GReddy Mufflers, kept the GReddy SP-II pipping and had the REMUS mufflers welded up in place.
@ljlive23 Actually I have 370whp or about 430hp at the crank because I have a full up Speed Force Racing Stage II Turbo system installed in the car! My max is actually the first 6th gen maxima in the nation to have a turbo!
@adnantallal It's universal so it fit's muffler pipe sizes 2.00", 2.25", and 2.50" Stock Max is 2.25" I have a 2.50" GReddy Exhaust piping. Tip size, not sure but it fits great under my new 2007 Rear bumper conversion. Doesn't look as cramp like this older video when I had the STILLEN rear lip!
I want to upgrade my exhaust on my 3rd gen maxima, I have the single tip muffler on it right now. (Don't know what brand, maybe stock). I don't want it to sound loud but sound similar to your setup, I don't want to spend alot. But do you think single or dual tip mufflers will make a difference? If so could you give me some advice?

@mmtenyakov No I had a complete GReddy SP-II full catback system that was installed. Had the mufflers cut off and the REMUS welded up in their place. 2.50" in size verse the OEM 2.25".
Attached to the catback are Hotshot Headers and Y-Pipe!!!s

@aftermath4 I have a GReddy SP-II full catback (about $620), then a sponsor wanted me to test fit REMUS Daul turbo exhaust mufflers ($380 Each), and I also have HotShot Headers with Hi-Flow Cat ($625 but no longer made), and last a Speed Force Racing Stage 2 custom Turbo (5K+). The combined is what gets me that awesome sound. As to not break the bank for a great sound also, consider a Fujita CAI, remove the resonator, add Magnaflow mufflers... Good Luck

@mikenyesi123 I had a full GReddy SP-II catback system and when Remus asked me to do a test fit of there universal mufflers I had the Greddy Mufflers cut off and the Remus welded on in there place. The Remus mufflers are universal so they had cut off points for fit 2", 2.25", and 2.50" (2-1/2") which is the size of the GReddy SP-II piping.

@mikenyesi123 Yes they could be put on without a full cattback, IMO what you should also look into is Megaflows, they also have a great sound and understand that my sound note is a combination of mufflers, catback and headers so sound may vary but should still sound awesome over stock!

Not sure what a Nissan Power Pup gasoline downloader is? And I didn't know K&N had a cold air intake for a 6th Gen Maxima unless you mean you dropped in a K&N filter in which case that is not a CAI but a better breathing filter.
nice, i love my 04 max it's my baby. yours is too clean im going crazy wanna trade hahahahaha. but i got a question my max is having a problem i took it to the dealer and they said the term blue smoke is coming out the pipes my car is making a clicking and rattling nosie when i take off and the motor is shaking a lilttle i can feel it in my car what is the cause of this can you please tell.
As for the shaking, you most likely need to check the motor mounts. As for the blue smoke, Not Good (possible valve seal or piston ring failure)!!! Get a compression test and leak down test to isolate the problem, this is a future potential costly repair if left unchecked! Good luck...
I installed mine myself!!! Most general automotive stores should be able to install it for you. Just make sure they disconnect the battery, do the swap then reconnect or you'll get a Check Engine Light. Also check out Maxima(.)org and hit up the 6th Gen section, maybe find a Max owner in your area who will help you. I help lots of people with work I know I can do, but I live in Maryland!!!
REMUS has other universal mufflers that are cheaper which sound just as good. You don't need to install the headers/Y-pipe although a good Racingline or Cattman Y-Pipe wouldn't hurt with performance. In place of the GReddy full catback system, ask some muffler shops in your area if thay can make some new 2-1/2 inch piping with a good resonator for 1/2 to 1/3rd the price of a GReddy system.

The Grill is actually an Activetuning S4.1 grill available at w w w(dot)Activetuning(dot)com. The NISMO emblem is a custon one I picked up off of ebay motors in their badges/emblem section. Just do a sewarch for NISMO emblems on ebay.
Last the mufflers are REMUS duel Turbo, they are universal. My whole exhaust is custom so you may notr like the price when all is said and done. Hotshot headers & Y-pipe with high flow cat, Greddy full cattback, removed Greddy mufflers replaced with REMUS.

This set went for about 300+ each, REMUS makes different universal styles at different prices to fit your budget. REMUS are normally found on high end cars like Ferrari, Porsche, Lamborghini, Vets, BMW etc. A dealer wanted to test the Maxima market and sent me this set as a test fit so I only paid for the install :-)
that car is an absolute beast deffinitely gettin those mufflers when I can afford it but where did you get the rear logo it looks like the one on the front of the genesis
But I got them below cost from a distributer who wanted to use my car, pictures, and install details for his marketing of them to other Maxima owners (in other words, I was the first to slap a set on a 6th Gen, 5th gen and below would be cheaper seeming how they only have 1 muffler.

Because a sponsor sold me top of the line REMUS mufflers (normally about $345 each!!!)below cost since I was willing to be the first 6th Gen Max test fit. My exhasut setup is: Hotshot headers custom modifed for Turbo, connected to a Hotshot y-pipe with high flow cat connecting to a 2.5" GReddy SP-II piping with REMUS mufflers. Check out my other VID's for the driveby sounds or under load conditions. Sounds like a formular-1 car now!!!
The Muffler is made in Australia by a company called REMUS, definitely a top of the line muffler since most are found on Ferrari, Porsche, Corvette, etc. Cost is around 280-400+ per. And you should look in the Universal section on their web site for a muffler to fit the Max. Thank goodness you'll only need 1 muffler for a 2000 but the money will be well spent!!! Good Luck...
Well if you own a stock exhaust on your Max, you may have a 2".
The good thing is the Remus is universal so the connection pipe of the REMUS muffler is 2.5", 2.25" & 2" so the muffler shop doing the install just needs to cut to muffler to match your cars exhaust piping size. In other words, you should be good to go...

Remus make's universal mufflers that fits a 2", 2.25", and 2.5". Check out my Cardomain website for pictures. My GReddy SP-II was a 2.5" so I took it to a muffler shop, had them cut off the GReddy mufflers and weld the Remus up in their place. All the universal mounting hardware comes with the mufflers.

Yes because the mufflers are universal and depending on the diameter of your exhaust piping the REMUS inlet is pre-bent to 2', 2.25" & 2.50" so the install shop will just cut off the correct size needed, then weld. Good luck...

I was the first 6th gen Max to successfully install a set of Hotshot Headers which were originally made for the 2005 Nissan Altima SE-R. Unfortunately, after the successful install about 10 other Maximas throughout the Nation got sets and then... the owners of Hotshot RETIRED!!! That was the end of the only bolt-up headers for a 6th gen max. Most everyone is waiting for Brian's set and I don't blame them. Awesome performance difference when a Max has Headers...
Cher, excellent MAX build this thing is a stallion! I'm also a MAX guy having every generation, I can't help but notice many parts i just can't locate namely the lower bumper spoiler when you hade the Remus dual turbo exhaust....Any idea where i could find???
Hey Chern, why does it look like the exhausts are not lined up correctly. As in, the outside (closest to the tires) droops down... when the inside part (closest to trunk) is more on the upward angle... Is there anyway to adjust that? I think it would look better if that was changed.
I got them way below cost as a test car, the REMUS mufflers i'm running would cost 360+ each not including installation. Price can be somewhat high especially if you need 2 but the sound is freakin amazing!!!

sounds cool good job, only thing I dunno if i liked but its a very small detail was it could have had a better fit to the back like the pipes were longer then the bumper wich could be shorter and they looked kinda not balanced eitheir. but it does sounds good

Last the mufflers are REMUS duel Turbo, they are universal. My whole exhaust is custom so you may notr like the price when all is said and done. Hotshot headers & Y-pipe with high flow cat, Greddy full cattback, removed Greddy mufflers replaced with REMUS.

This set went for about 300+ each, REMUS makes different universal styles at different prices to fit your budget. REMUS are normally found on high end cars like Ferrari, Porsche, Lamborghini, Vets, BMW etc. A dealer wanted to test the Maxima market and sent me this set as a test fit so I only paid for the install :-)

The REMUS muffler is around $340.00 EACH.
But I got them below cost from a distributer who wanted to use my car, pictures, and install details for his marketing of them to other Maxima owners (in other words, I was the first to slap a set on a 6th Gen, 5th gen and below would be cheaper seeming how they only have 1 muffler.

At the time this VID was shot I had a Fujita CAI, Unorthodox Lightweight Racing Pulley, Hotshot Headers, GReddy SP-II catback, but I cut the GReddy Mufflers off and replaced with the REMUS and the car was DynoTuned using an APEXi Super AFC-II

Not loud, sounds smooth and clean like an F1 race car, most say they only hear the car after I went by them. Click on my user name and see my other VIDs, lots of drive off/up VIDs including with the new Turbo!!!

Because a sponsor sold me top of the line REMUS mufflers (normally about $345 each!!!)below cost since I was willing to be the first 6th Gen Max test fit. My exhasut setup is: Hotshot headers custom modifed for Turbo, connected to a Hotshot y-pipe with high flow cat connecting to a 2.5" GReddy SP-II piping with REMUS mufflers. Check out my other VID's for the driveby sounds or under load conditions. Sounds like a formular-1 car now!!!

The Muffler is made in Australia by a company called REMUS, definitely a top of the line muffler since most are found on Ferrari, Porsche, Corvette, etc. Cost is around 280-400+ per. And you should look in the Universal section on their web site for a muffler to fit the Max. Thank goodness you'll only need 1 muffler for a 2000 but the money will be well spent!!! Good Luck...

Well if you own a stock exhaust on your Max, you may have a 2".
The good thing is the Remus is universal so the connection pipe of the REMUS muffler is 2.5", 2.25" & 2" so the muffler shop doing the install just needs to cut to muffler to match your cars exhaust piping size. In other words, you should be good to go...

Remus make's universal mufflers that fits a 2", 2.25", and 2.5". Check out my Cardomain website for pictures. My GReddy SP-II was a 2.5" so I took it to a muffler shop, had them cut off the GReddy mufflers and weld the Remus up in their place. All the universal mounting hardware comes with the mufflers.

Yes because the mufflers are universal and depending on the diameter of your exhaust piping the REMUS inlet is pre-bent to 2', 2.25" & 2.50" so the install shop will just cut off the correct size needed, then weld. Good luck...

I was the first 6th gen Max to successfully install a set of Hotshot Headers which were originally made for the 2005 Nissan Altima SE-R. Unfortunately, after the successful install about 10 other Maximas throughout the Nation got sets and then... the owners of Hotshot RETIRED!!! That was the end of the only bolt-up headers for a 6th gen max. Most everyone is waiting for Brian's set and I don't blame them. Awesome performance difference when a Max has Headers...

Hey Chern, why does it look like the exhausts are not lined up correctly. As in, the outside (closest to the tires) droops down... when the inside part (closest to trunk) is more on the upward angle... Is there anyway to adjust that? I think it would look better if that was changed.

I got them way below cost as a test car, the REMUS mufflers i'm running would cost 360+ each not including installation. Price can be somewhat high especially if you need 2 but the sound is freakin amazing!!!

sounds cool good job, only thing I dunno if i liked but its a very small detail was it could have had a better fit to the back like the pipes were longer then the bumper wich could be shorter and they looked kinda not balanced eitheir. but it does sounds good
