  • i have an almost craving to hear a harp version of this. if anyone here plays the harp, has time can be botherd and wnats to i would LOVE to hear

  • @Jalehall it isnt hungarian, it is definately finnish, the title translated is Death makes an Artist.

  • @Jalehall if you were hungarian you would know this is not hungarian she is singing in finnish the band comes from Finland, where im from, and she is definitely singing in finnish no question about it.

  • El Final se corta para el culo -.-

  • I know that Kuolema means death, because that's what I named my charcter in Skryim...

  • suomi!!

  • I love this song! I actually sang this as a solo at a concert for my choir once, nearly fainted from nervousness, I'm amazed I was able to sing this song fairly decently ^^'

  • 2:10 LOL Emppu looks funny!!! :-D Hee hee! Jokes! Emppu you rule

  • Every time I listen this song I burst into tears... no words... <3

  • "Kuolema Tekee Taiteilijan" (Finnish for Death Makes an Artist)

  • Kuolema = Death??

  • @Crawler91100 Yes

  • My favorite song of all Nightwish songs!!!! <3

  • she wanted to let u all know that this one set of lyrics meant... which death made me an artist which was translated wrong it really means in Hungarian Your whore mother.... i dont think u wanna say that to someone

  • just to let u all know this song is in Hungarian my friend who speaks n writes in Hungarian and was born there said that these lyrics u translated r quite incorrect... for example the 1st set u wrote is WRONG!!!!!! the correct 1st set of lyrics say: only once i got to see my dream is really... I want butter on it...

  • kuolema tekee taiteilijan in English is Moondance.... :)

  • @angelsdoweep Er.. no it means 'What makes an artist?'

  • I like the dresses that Tarja wears... She is always in those medieval, fantasy looking dresses. She really reminds of Kahlan from Legend of the Seeker when she wears white :P

  • Tarja the best

  • Rakastan Sinua, Tarja Turunen.

  • oh my god :( I haven't listened to this song since tarja left the band and I heard the first word and knew the complete lyrics again... ;_;

  • @GermoDante

that's cuz elvish is based on finnish. at least quenya is anyway. i think sindarin is based on welsh.

  • Finnish - one of the most beautiful and melodical languages i ever heared in my life. And Tarja makes it sound like a language from the gods.

Because of this song i started to learn finnish now :)

    Rakkauta ja suukoja Bulgariasta :)

  • sounds like fuckin elvish, awesome

  • @theonewhoistheone1 There is a specific button for 'ä' in finnish keyboards. If you want to make 'ä' you will need to press this button--> ¨ <-- and then 'a'.

'ö' is the same but only press 'o' instead of 'a'.

I'm not sure if there is ¨ button on all keyboards (should be located right next to enter) but if you do, you probably will be able to do 'ä'

    Hope this helps :)

  • I love this song so much I learned the whole thing in Finnish ^_^

  • beautiful!

  • i love this song, this song is epic, best ever from tarja adn nightwisch !!!!

  • wow!!!

  • its a good language but if you take the effort to learn it you would find that it was useless even in finland the people i saw spoke english well.btw i dont know a word of finnish

  • I listen to this song on repeat :)

  • Kerran vain haaveeni

    nähdã sain

    En pienuutta alla

    tähtien tuntenut

    Kerran sain kehtooni kalterit

    Vankina sieltä kirjettä kirjoitan

  • @kardel3 how do you get the dots above the a's

  • @theonewhoistheone1 secret of family

  • @theonewhoistheone1 kidding

  • Rakastan tätä laulua

  • Good video but it's anoying how u put instrumental in words it's kinda obvious

  • @cshodgson i add it for effect i guess....i didnt want an empty screen

  • @angelnekocutie Oh, the screen would be filled with quite nice enough looking persons anyway. :)

  • @cshodgson so what?

  • What sort of jackass could possibly dislike this? Unearthly song, really, sung in the most beautiful language on our planet.

  • @Dhalit76 its not if ur finnish and its her voice that makes the song good not the language

  • I gonna learn finnish !

  • Beautiful and magic song....

  • Siksi rakastan Suomea.

  • such a beautiful song in such a wonderful language

  • Heaven sent...

  • this is beautiful, but i love the End of an Era version a lot more.lol.

  • NIE!!! Myślałam, że ten filmik jest idealny, bo nie miał minusów. Ja kiedyś znajdę tego, co dał minusa i zabiję!

  • HUNGARYAN VERSION THE BEST

  • @okoskutya35 Kuolema Tekee Taiteilijan előadja a Nightwish c. számot (by Bocsi, Sláger rádió xD)

  • tuomas holopainen rules se on paras

  • finland

  • yes, the translation is terrible, but that should be no surprise... the meaning will always be lost in traslation. beautiful song, nonetheless!

  • Perfectly translated.

  • es ist super und das finnish ist einfach nur total cool!

    i Love Tarja

  • muusica celticàààà??????

  • @coco1999ist no it isn't...its metal

  • @jgsarchangel Symphonic Power Metal like Epica.... :)

  • @jgsarchangel

    It´s Symphonic Metal!

  • @coco1999ist Es Metal, y en todo caso seria Celta, no Celtica...

  • what language is?

  • @xandreax345 i think that tuomas had stated that is indian and the poem was translated by his friend John Two-Hakws

  • @xandreax345 Finnish

  • @xandreax345 at least i think that is that language Tanja (sp?) is singing in for the song.

  • anna ninón túl, a szexi méh szín, lapszemlén nino a ló lesz ^^

  • @sasubobby4ever anywhere on the internet

  • There was I think two mistakes on the translation. It is become, not come. I've never heard that "what my child takes me for", so I don't know if that's right, but I think it would be better as "what my child thinks I am". And in the end, it's death makes (or creates) an artist, not made. I hope I helped you :)) Pretty good work. Where are you from?

  • @sansloful thank u for that :D

im from the US...so sorry about that

  • @sansloful

as far as i know the finnish word for come and become is the same

    its a wordplay

  • Is it just me or does Empuu look short?

Beautiful song with beautiful lyrics =)

  • @JaderGater2

    hehe nah he's pretty short

  • @angelnekocutie Short, but handsome and good musician

  • @JaderGater2 Emppu is 1,60 m tall. :D

  • @angelnekocutie

    Thank you :)

  • @bachcor np :)

  • Definitely my favorite song from Tarja. She has such an effortless sound. :)

  • Nice :) HUngary-Finland hmmm

  • My god what a wonderful song! Maybe one of the most beautiful in the world!

  • i gotta learn Finnish!lol love the song SOOO much!

  • good song. tum ta tittily tum ta too

  • Beautiful, beautiful...It sounds too beautiful when Tarja sings in Finnish..

  • 1:13 (the chorus) it could be: "My God, to you let me (be)come what my child thinks I am." but your translation is just as good. :)

3:14 it could start with the word "I", 'cause in english you can't tell from the verb who is the doer. So it's: "I created my own heaven here..." and so on.

And the name of the song in english is passive, we don't know who the doer is. So it's: "Death makes an artist". Even if later in the song we figure out that she IS singing about herself.

    Very good job! ^^c u

  • I think this is the most beautiful song Nightwish ever have made.

    I love this song either!Beautiful!

  • oh thank u!

  • Oh My God, the most beautyful song in the world! and one of the best bands
