@smesshh The only way to do that in Vegas is to keyframe it to stay on the gun. If you used after effects or hitfilm you could motion track it which would be much easier but you cant import motion tracking data in vegas. To keyframe you just press the add keyframe button at the bottom of the window he used to add the mask.

On detonation films I can't download the zip file because it's not working because the website is stupid and I don't want to spend any money.

@mikenike123454 i downloaded a zip file and it worked properly . when downloading choose the option open folder when done downloading then the folder will open ,after the folder opens you will see on the top left extract all files (only if you have windows xp ) and then click extract then a folder or file( what ever you want to call it )will open then you can choose where you want to put the files and then click extract and every thing will work properly

@MySponser Well after I finished downloading it all of a sudden a Microsoft Word document opened called "Explosion" and it had a bunch of random number and letters on it and it was like a million pages long. I don't get it? Do you know what went wrong then? This is why I need a tutorial that doesn't use DETONATION FILMS. I looked around and sat through lots and lots of tutorials. If you happen to own sony vegas platinum or movie studio then simply use the SHAPES adjustment on your video with the same method for the same effect. You do NOT need pro to mask things behind objects.

@goblin072 Actually, the program he uses to add those effects is a special effects package know as Action Essentials 2. It's not a ' $1,000 program-', it actually costs only a little over $100. And although that this vid is not the best example, you can do some pretty amazing things with it. Don't believe me? Maybe you should check out these Youtube channels: Freddiew, Corridor Digital, and Pwnisher.
