this is great. im always so amazed when i watch these emx videos because i look at these things and no matter how hard i try i can't view it as an instrument. im not criticizing you but i just cant figure out the first thing about working these things. like, how do you learn how to use an emx? it's not like a guitar for example where you can just sit down with it and get a grasp on it. like id imagine you'd have to read a freaking manual just to turn these things on ya know?
@wtfomgbbq4 i learned to use it by trying and playing... i mean u can be gay and use any stupid tutorial from a forum but thats not how u learn ... thats just how to replay. i spend years of practice to learn and thats the best way...i think.
its now hectic... but this version of it was an interlude they used to use before common dreads they called it something live ravers on your badest behaviour or something :) X
you REALLY need to learn some basic synth principles man, you're lead line for hectic is bad.. the drums are pretty damn good though to be fair man, pretty spot on.
yo if i had an emx and a microkorg could i record sounds i play on the microkorg on the emx and use the sounds i play on my microkorg in beats i make?with the emx?
the intro from the beggining, right upto when rou ses "SHIT" is an intro and its called stand your ground (this is anicient land) and the rest from when rou ses "SHIT!" is the song, Enter shikari. hope i helped :)
yeeee its called hectic, check it out, if u search for leeds met 18th and look for the hectic video i went to tht gig and the videos pretty good quality :) werent it some like cheeky they called it before and just did it randomly at gigs to fill up time whatever they did there amazing at it, the best gig ive ever been 2 and i met them :O
exactly what i did. getting the microkorg really helps 2 get 2 know synthesisers. i havent got onto actually buying the EMX yet. but ive used my friends many times :P
oh ok, iv done similar things before on another preogram, on last question, iv heard lots of people use the mx 1 but some use an . . . ex i think its called.. . i cant remember, whats the difference, and btw im listening to oneof ur songs atm its really good
a few questions, ive jus my journey in remixing, wot is that amazing little bit of tech u have there, and did RECREATE all the shikari sounds or are they CUT FROM SONG, or did u somehow get the MASTERS?
do you have to programm alle the drums and the synthesiser on your own or can you get the samples from somewhere ... sorry i don't have an idea how this works but it's amazing to see. i just play e-guitar ... love enter shirari by the way
no program is needed. in the same way you can plug an ipod into a speaker, you plug the electribe(blue thing) into a speaker source (amps work, or computer speakers etc) -headphones are easiest but wont really test loud power if that's what you're after. especially for big bass... be aware it's a jack connection though
hey nice video. did u simply create those sounds from that machine your using? like u just used whats on the machine to create the enter shikari sounds?
Hey wait a sec... Isnt there suppost to be like a whooshing sound at 5:10? Cause when I downloaded the MP3 there was. Did you put the effect in afterwards?
You sir, are amazing.
