  • Who talks at the start of All my best friends are metalheads, is it roger?

  • @prowblade No, it's an excerpt from a spoken word album entitled "An Open Letter To My Teenage Son" by Victor Lundberg.

  • Holy shit I needed a real musician interview after sitting through half that god damn rebecca black interview

  • Perfectly said JR i have wondered myself why the FUC# this band was doing what they are doing

  • Awesome a Descendants tattoo!!

  • 19:56 The close-up on Roger. HAHAHA

  • I saw this guy in the box office of peoples court today! I didn't know his name then though D:

  • its cool to see a side from a band member besides promoting and playing. its awesome to hear their back-story and the in's and out's of the band. Less Than Jake is awesome and I hope they stay on the circuit for a very long time!!!

  • Lol he keeps ripping on the band. My second time through the interview and now I noticed it. "I play in...uhhhh what is it? Oh yeah LTJ." and "They asked me to play fo them, and I was real hesitant...but here I am!" and "Yeah he gave me the CDs and it was hard to hear the horns cuz the recordings are all crappy and shit." lol

  • Damn, that was deep.

  • 10:45 very true statement. I love this band

  • his yawn made me yawn.

  • This is an excellent interview!

  • stop bitching in the comments, i have yet to hear a ltj i dont love haha

  • one of the smartest dudes eva!!!!!

  • Amazing

  • great interview. really decent guy JR it seems

  • 19:57 roger = joe pesci

  • hello rockview is their best album....funny that is came out when they were with Capital Records which they said was the worst time of their career

  • Sometimes ppl do their best work when they are the most pissed off. Most punk bands are like that. If you were punk you'd know that mcast2. Their new cd does suck but I still love LTJ!!!!

  • @mcast2 Yeah and the songs on that record aren't even the way they arranged them. I found that out and I think that's why it sounds so good. Sometimes its not bad having a produce totally add their style to the record. They said they would record tracks and come back from lunch, and their producer (Jim I think) had pieces of the song moved around and cut and chopped and even recorded his own parts and added it. Maybe thats why some of the songs sound kind of remixed with intros and such.

  • there new album was ska it was just in with the out crowd that sucked

  • I live in chicago, I don't like Florida because it's too hot.

  • Make more ska songs!! Less Than Jake can hardly be considered ska anymore because its just punk with horns. its lost its ska shine :( Bring it back!

  • JR is freaking awesome. hes my idol!

  • Jr IS The Best! :D

I Play tenor sax too! u.u

  • Man, i hate that IWTOC gets a lot of flak. I acually like it and listen to it all the time.

LTJ is the soudtrack of my life, seriously.

  • I agree. People have always told me that it was their worst but when I listened to it, I liked it a lot. It was more of an alternative record for LTJ and less of a ska take

  • IWTOC is my favorite. It is also the soundtrack of my life. i do not understand why it gets so much shit....

  • Ever heard the song "Rest of my live"?

If so, compare it with "Sugar in your gas tank".

    And see it for yourself.

  • Yes i have heard and own both songs, i have a lot more respect for Rest of My Life because its written about his grandad when he died. But sugar in your gas tank is still good too. (:

  • I see your point. I'm not saying all of IWTOC songs are great . There are songs like "Gotta Let Her Go" and "Overrated' which aren't exactly kickass imo. But again you can say that about any album from any artist, with very few exceptions.

Now come on, pitting ANY song against SIYGT just isn't fair ;)

  • but they are both good songs in their own way. that's why their such a great band, because they can change styles and still make great music

  • agree its like saying which is better in the mood by glenn miller, or smells like teen spirit by nirvana... different things completely... its ok to like both!

  • Chris Barrett is such a cool name

  • true facts

    one of my favorite bands

    awesome!! :]

  • what kind of sax that JR play? I dont knwo anything about saxophone.

  • he plays tenor sax

  • Thanks! Im a saxophone noob, but im thinking of starting.

  • Less than Jake puts on the best show I've ever seen by far. I can't WAIT for them to come back to WA.

  • I agree 100% I love LTJ. Waitin' for them to come back to Baltimore!

  • They Could make A Bunch of Stuff Never Done Before Like Rerecord a Record Of B-Sides And Bonus Tracks Examples: Only Human , Last Train , Gilligans Island , Misfits And Malcontents , We, the Uninspired , Negative Sides of Optimistic Eyes , Even Trophy Boys and Girls Sing the Blues , A Song For Everyone That Survived The Season , Antidote For The Underdog , All Time Low And Some More I Can't Think Of But There's A Good Number Right There

  • is he playing super orgy porno party at the beginning?

  • Dude JR is my hero. I play tenor for my band and i love playing JR's sax parts. awesome

  • Hey, i wanted to learn how to play the t-bone part for that song, i love less than jake and especially their song does the lion city still roar!

  • i was at that concert! awesome day!

  • this was made 6 days after the gnv fla was realsed

  • Thanx, great Interview.

  • great interview JR is totally right about everyhting and all the live footage rocks thanks

  • Wow. Awesome, awesome interview. I agree with JR on everything except when he said LTJ isn't very though provoking. LTJ's lyrical content has always been top notch IMO.

  • i love LTJ REEL BIG FISH catch22 The Mighty Mighty bosstones victims of circumstance Rancid BIG D and the KIDS table Mu330 great punk and ska

  • I'm seeing Rancid and Less Than Jake this week lol i totally agree.

  • i was at the philly show! awesome performance

  • We opened for this tour at the House of Blues and after talking to JR I realized how he is all about the music!!!! which is awesome, Not to mention he plays his tour shows with a L.A. Sax!!!! and makes it sound bad-ass

  • I Agree with everything he just said

  • so do i :-)

  • LTJ is a great band, really good interview.

  • i hope they stay together for another 15 or more years.

  • @CrashingThrough1 Oh god.
