@Ramiromasters It's the Government's money, it has validity because of them, they have set up conditions that allow you to have money without having to fight every moment of your existence and money as we know it is an invention of Government. Look at a dollar bill, two symbols, the US Treasury and the Federal Reserve seal. Being the US and using US money means having to accept any conditions the Government puts behind it and it has always been that way. So give them the money
@Meade556 The IRS is not part of the government, its a private corporation. Do some research before saying something like ¨that can be´ or something to that effect...
Also money is an invention by regular people long time ago, governments don´t invent things since they are always composed of lawyers and business man, not people educated in creating technical solutions.
@Ramiromasters The Internal Revenue Service is part of the Treasury Department and its employees are on the GS, it is a Government agency. The US dollar is the money of the US, to use it, you have to pay taxes. To even be here, you have to pay taxes because its the US Government's guaranteed money your using. Right, like those same people who invented the Internet through ARPANET or those Lawyers who invested in airports during the New Deal and all that. Uncreative huh?
@Meade556 Have you ever heard about the man who sold his house but didn´t sold the garden around his house? well as the new people moved in, he put a rubber barrier to prevent the new ´´owners´´ from entering so he could collect a toll tax...
Ruberbaring is what the feds and the IRS are, you accept it because they have sold it to you, but trust me, you don´t need those litches.
However... I have invested my money in the obvious reality that few people can critically think about it.
@Ramiromasters No I have no heard it and without taxes there are no roads, far fewer schools, no defense, no workplace safety, rivers that catch fire, wow, I could go on and on
@Meade556 Oh but roads and police and all that is completely different from what the income tax is... the income tax is exclusively the tax charged to the USA people to use the Federal Reserve's services who by the way are really mostly done by the treasury with out getting a cut from the feds funds.
Don't reply without looking into it a bit ok... you can watch the documentary "the money masters" here on yt.
@Ramiromasters Conspiracy theory nonsense particularly since the Fed pays all its profits into the Treasury and the Central Bank was nothing that anybody complained about until the beginning of the era when we deregulated and started cutting taxes and the welfare state.
@Meade556 Your logic, I'm afraid, is full of fallacies and inconsistencies. Here is the violations to logic I've spotted:
1. Contrary to fact hypothesis
2. Fallacy of popular wisdom
3. Omission of key evidence
4. Premise and conclusion
5. Denying the antecedent
I'm not putting my self high or anything. I just like to go through my thoughts and see where I've been fooled, and also see how other people believe in things for no good reason. Have a good one.
@Ramiromasters That is actually a perfect description of yourself, particularly since in the heyday of liberalism from 1933-1973 we had a Fed and there was no trouble, in fact the sinister changes only started occurring with the advent of Ronald Reagan, when the Regional banks started having private members instead of Reserve employees sit on the boards. Before Federal employees would be the ones on the board instead of private interests. Things are more and less complicated...
@Meade556 To say we had a Fed back then and there was no trouble, is like saying:
Oh! I was eating hamburgers and pork and cakes "just fine" till that fat start appearing in my but and then start going into my coronary arteries...
If we don't see the trends that develop problems later on, then I think we as a society should not be allowed to drive, smoke, drink or sign any legal documents because we are just like little children that can't see the consequences of our actions.
@Ramiromasters No it is not. The problem is like this, the Fed is a regulatory body, much as many of its staff and most senior officials may protest that it is not, and what happens if it is dominated by or taken over by the very people it is supposed to watch, like the Soviets taking over the CIA, that is the problem with the Fed. Bernanke and Dudley are now timidly suggesting a slight write down of underwater mortgages. Marriner Eccles once told a banker who tried to pressure...
@Ramiromasters him into abandoning policies Wall Street did not like "You can tell your banker friends to go to hell!" which is the way Government is supposed to work. Government, so to speak, is supposed to be the people's corporation, not something that deferently serves and bows to every whim of the most wealthy.
something you guys may not know is the very first second of this video, you can tell that the architect is watching neo right now. What you see on the first second are his monitors, therefore you can assume that he's watching this interrogation.
@TheRyanOgden So she is usually distracted that you can take her to a room and interrogate? Also, how are you going to get the bug and get it in her belly button?
@TheyHearUsNow Yeah I don't think the Wachowski Bros even thought about that when they wrote that line. How would you rewrite it so that it he only broke hacker laws instead of all computer laws?
1)The use of force of any kind, except in the case of self-defense, is immoral.
2) All governments, for thousands of years, have granted themselves the unilateral right to use force against the individuals it claims to have sovereignty over.
(For example: Taxation is theft. If you don't pay your taxes, force will be used against you.Personal desire to pay taxes does not remove the reality of government force.)
3) Therefore, all forms of government are immoral.
for some reason this scene(before the mouth part) always mellows me out listening to it. Must be a combination of the page turning and Weaving's voice. Used to fall asleep listening to it, lol.
Is it me, or would Neo have avoided a lot if he just said:"All I know is that he's connected to this thing called the Matrix, and I don't know anything else"?! It's not harder than flipping off the fuzz! There's such thing as free speech, use it wisely while you can still talk dammit! DX
Naw - they gotta show how immature and rebellious Neo is, remember this is the beginning of the first movie, still in character development. Besides, the scene is an excellent excuse for a bit of action and to throw some creepy forshadowing and clues at the audience.
Sorry to be a wet blanket, but I think the scene is perfect - one of my fav scenes!! "You... disappoint me, Mr. Anderson."
Mr. Anderson's counseling session with the local ministry.
"Yes Mr. Anderson, I see you havn't been contributting to the church in quite some time now. You're not lazy, are you Mr. Anderson? You do have a job don't you? Your only purpose here is to contribute to the church on a weekly basis, afterall, who is going to pay for my dry cleaning? I'm going to come clean with you Mr. Anderson, we run a very tightly wound organization. Money, Money, Money, Mr. Anderson."
A lot of people dont know that neo is actually John Connor in the future, but then other people got their hands on Terminator and the matrix scripts and fuck them up.
I actually use to think that the little bug was tickling him. As a child when I first watched this scene my cousin help me down and tickled my belly button. She thought it was funny even though I cried.
Man this scared me so bad when I was a kid, I remember sitting in the living room and my mom said "Isn't that the guy from Lord of the rings?" And my dad said yes. And then I freaked out when I saw the scorpion thing, I don't even remember Neo waking up so I thought it was real (I didn't know that it WAS real)
Anyone else notice Hugo`s Aussie accent slips through slightly when Smith says " life " , " lives " and more noticeably on " future " ?

Man this scared me so bad when I was a kid, I remember sitting in the living room and my mom said "Isn't that the guy from Lord of the rings?" And my dad said yes. And then I freaked out when I saw the scorpion thing, I don't even remember Neo waking up so I thought it was real (I didn't know that it WAS real)

@Sportsguyy18
agreed. It's my favorite scene in the whole movie for that very reason.
