@boombbox12 He didn't kick it to calm it down, he kicked at it to try to scare it away and back into deeper water so that it could swim away and survive. Also, there is nothing wrong with sport fishing, especially when the animal is treated with respect during catch and release fishing. If you notice, they only bring the shark out of the water long enough to take a picture proving the catch and the size of the shark, then released it back into the wild.

nurse shark, it was amazzing, but i didnt have anything to get to it with and it broke the line and swam back out to sea, then his friend, him and i left and went home and about an hour later my dad calls me telling us o go back out to the beach, so i get them, and we go back come to find my dad caught a 3-4 foot Hammerhead shark!!! it was AMAZING!!! and i got to throw it back!! (i was the only girl out there fishing that night)....and this was in NC

my dad and i, and my brother and his friend were all fishing at around 3AM on a beach in NC last summer and my brother was baiting his friends hook while i was watching my rob, and out of the corner of my eye i see his rod fall and go zooming towards the water so i yell "DEREK YOUR ROD!!!" and he drops the bait and runs up gets his rod and starts reeling it in, well i take the flashlight and walk up the beach a little and shine it into the water and being reeled in was a 3 and a half foot
