  • Yeah, i think the same bro, the thing is that John was expecting to die by mills's hands, so now, he will suffer horribly ´til the last day of his life, so actually he didnt avenged his wife n child...

  • DETECTIVE!!!

  • Brad Pitt is a very good actor. He's too often dismissed as a pretty boy.

  • I love Bard Pitt when he says "What did you fuckin say?!" on 6:39, and of course KEVIN SPACEY is a master !

  • I would just beat the shit out of him and then send his ass to jail so he can be raped everyday 4 the rest of his life

  • So intense I want to cry.

  • maybe one of the most shattering movies ever made. such a painful end

  • Such good actors

  • You can view the Chase Scene here - youtube.com/watch?v=2IF9VbQTUE4

  • I'd forgive him. There's others who have been in the same position in real life (family killed in front of them) who have forgiven through their belief in God's ability to accurately deal out justice. I believe God sorts it out. Jesus loves us, and in time will deal out accurate justice.

  • @finalmattasy shut the fuck up

  • @Winnipegger101 feel free to live with your own selfish judgements, apart from being able to carry them out, and die like an animal if you insist.

  • @finalmattasy your a bitch if you wouldnt kill a man who killed your wife and unborne child. not avenging them would be like spitting on theyre fucking grave. and if your such a believer in god why would he let something like the hollocaust happen?

  • @Winnipegger101 You're projecting your own opinion of truth here. It's your opinion that I'd be a bitch. But the truth may very well be the opposite. What if those family members that died, being separated from illusory self-judgement, only cared about me not demanding my own justice.

The holocaust happened because the spirit of anti-christ (self-judgement) hates the fact that there are people connected to the promises of God (correct-judgement). It's going to get worse too. But theres hope

  • @finalmattasy i apologogize for calling you that but it baffles me that a man could forgive someone who could commit such a crime. i believe a man is the protector of his family and should avenge anyone who attacks his loved ones. and obviously i suspect you are a very religious person, but any intelligent man knows if there is a god, he WOULD NOT allow such a thing like the holocaust to occur. people try to say it happened for a reason but god wouldnt viciously sacrifice 6 000 000 people

  • @Winnipegger101 nice response dude.. i'm in regina by the way. If your name indicates that you're in Winnipeg, then we're veritable neighbours for the net.

Of course that's your opinion about God. There are many examples of gods that would let people die and/or kill people. The Bible's God is one who gave people choice. Thus by the choice not to receive Gods opinion as worthy of obeying, mankind thereby must find his own judgement, one of those judgements being that Jews are inherently scum.

  • @finalmattasy and trust me if someone killed your wife and kids im pretty sure they would want you to seek justice

  • amazing video man !!!!!!!!

  • A brilliant script, and an excellent and disturbing movie.

  • if he wouldve just walked back calmly to mills and told him that john doe was lying he cudve got the gun from him

  • lawyers are really punished in this movie.

  • the second he'd said he'd visited my home i would have pieced it together and shot him there and then.

  • god that was so tense at the end, i was wishing he didnt shoot doe so the bastards plan failed, he could have shot him in the leg though as vicvega says u would be too mad

  • Although poor Mills was taken away at the end, in all likelihood he won't go to jail. NO jury would rule him guilty considering the man was a sociopathic suspect who just brutally murdered his prenant wife

  • @40Pacino You are mistaken and I advice you to check law regarding self-defense in your jurisdiction.

Doe made Mills commit first degree murder, plain and simple. Anything else will be just details for jury.

  • @40Pacino yes this is true it would be considered an "act of passion" or "tempory insainity" a jury would let him off.

  • I kind of had a feeling at the end Mills would kill him because he does seem like the kind of person that lets his emotions take over.I mean we've been seeing it throughout the movie even Detective Somerset said it a couple of times. But I don't blame him it's sometimes hard to control your emotions to something like that.

  • Una de las mejores peliculas que he visto, tiene esa magia, accion y suspenso de los 90's que no se encuentran ahora.

  • John doe and anton chigurh would be the best of fwends

  • @90mv not really john doe was trying to go to heaven . anton is satan

  • "Detective......detective...DEEEECCCTIIIVVEEEE!!!!!!"

  • ..seems like envy is my sin ... become vengeance ... become.. wrath

Chilling Stuff, one of the best thrillers ever made.. John Doe makes Jigsaw and the rest in more modern thrillers look like amateurs..

  • @Bonaboms But who could forget Jigsaw's line in Saw VI....."Piranha....?"

    *Shudders* chilling stuff!

  • wrapth NOW THAT CINEMA TWO THUMBS UP DAAAANGGG loll

  • I'm trying to tell you how much I admire you

  • AMAZING scene leave you ambigious

  • DETECTIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIVE!!!!!!!!

  • When he says "I'm sorry I had to hurt... one of you" its because he meant his wife

  • @enche01 n he didn't, he meant when he beat up Mills, he hadn't killed Mills' wife yet.

  • Would have been nice if u showed the full ending. All the way to the credits I mean.

  • 3.32

  • john doe kind of reminds me of jigsaw

  • Dude, your fucking wife died, you didn't see Alvin and the Chipmunks laying each other.

  • the best screenplay ever!!

  • i love how he closes his eyes right before he gets shot :] amazing movie, with arguably the perfect ending

  • Honestly, Morgan Freeman's facial expression at 5:59 sells the scene.

  • I don't know why, but I love the line when Mills says "John, calm down. I seem to remember us knocking on your door."

John Doe: "Right. And I seem to remember breaking your face."

  • Morgan Freeman is such a great actor, his facial exspressions during Johns Does speech says it all, without Freeman even saying a word, his face says, "this is one sick fuck, but hes got a point".

  • To all those writting massive posts of torture.... come on now. Let's be realistic here; Yes, the man who killed your wife and unborn child is right infront of you, and he has just told you what he's done.. while your holding a loaded .45...TRUST ME. You'd empty the magazine in him that very instant, the thought of torture wouldnt even enter your mind, youd want him dead ASAP. Besides, this works well in the movie, because now Brad Pitt has to live knowing he let him off "easy"

  • @VicVega1911 Also, I'm sure like someone said, one day Pitt will realize that had he not killed him, John Doe's "life's work" would never have been completed, and that would eat away at him (Doe) forever, probably driving him even more insane, thereby making that the best possible "torture"

Also, Kevin Spacey is playing a top-notch pyschopath. The thought of being tortured or hurt would not phase him at all. Mills could have tortured him for days and John Doe probably wouldnt have mada sound

  • "No it is true, and the funny thing is, all this work...two months from now, no one's gonna care, no one's gonna give a shit, no one's gonna remember"

So true. Doe was painfully deluded if he really thought he was setting some kind of example. No one gives a shit and no one will remember his "life's work".

  • @Dresden1065 Making the detective that hunted him into one of his "works" would definitely be remembered. That would be some crazy shit if a serial killer was that intelligent.

  • Doe is my inspiration

  • Spacey's character is a complete monster. However, it is interesting that the intentions in these comments actually help Doe prove his point. We help the bastard win by playing down to his level, as in what to do with him, and we too become monsters.

  • This ending pissed me off..That shit was like heaven for that guy! I would have tortured that bitch so he would beg to be killed..then I would have tortured him more..Forever..gawd..

  • I would of capped that bitch, and take the knee caps with me,shot the balls and shot to the thoracic 7 glancing half qaurter shot,to cripple him. Then kill him 3 years after.

  • if he spared him doe's work would have been incomplete his critique on the seven deadly sins would remain unfinished and doe would be nothing but a murderer and he wouldn't have been able to stand it. he should have spared him if he did it would be the ultimate revenge and it would have shown pitts character as the hero of the movie

  • @ZigZagRunner Get the fuck out of here dude. The man's wife's head is in a box and the man who did it is right in front of him. Fuck Doe winning or not winning. I'd tear him to pieces with my bare hands. I'd bathe in his blood and eat his eyeballs and tongue. I swear I'd rip him apart like a demon from hell. Fuck being a "hero". How about avenging your wife's death instead? Hmm, how about that?

  • @Dresden1065 your fairly serial killer lol bathing in his blood. i don't have a wife but i still felt bad for pitts character. really thats avenging to you, how did you watch schindlers list and not cry. read my last comment and think about it, doe was a hero in his own eyes because he thought he was good and pure forcing people to atone for their sins and critiqueing the human race.if pitt had have shown him he was only a crazy murderer it would have been much more satisfying than the real film

  • how good is spacey in this movie in his scene. he makes the movie. if it didn't have him in it i wouldn't have liked it. i would have seen it as one of those movies you buy then put away then you find it a while later and watch it and think why did i buy it.

  • @MaxPlanck011 i would have given him the same punishment as the ''sloth'' guy got. just for a few more years!

  • I hate it when I search for this movie, and the stupid korean rapper guy from the god-awful, retarded group Brokencyde, who is also called "Se7en" comes up. It's VERY annoying.

  • All three of these dudes are PERFECT actors. amazing

  • God, this gives me chills.

  • Wouldn't you know it's Spacey by his voice on the phone?

  • Become vengeance, David. Become...wrath.

  • Oh my god, what an ASSHOLE he was in that movie!

  • This movie makes a good critique of our society. I'm so used to the "asshole cop" characture type in the movies, that I didn't notice anything abnormal about Det. Mills during the film, and will admit the ending surprised me. When you rewatch the film, you can see his anger management problem shine through quite easily.

  • No I mean Kevin Spacey's character

  • Spacey's character was an ass, but his character's change at the end always seemed a bit contrived. He seemed to take on the "sin" of envy just to complete his masterpiece. If I lived in place like John Doe, why would I need to envy an angry detective who lives in an subway shaking condo. Envy him for his wife? His wife seems like a dime a dozen small town girl type.

  • That's why he's an ass. In my opinion he didn't change, he's a selfish prick who wanted to have his point proven in the worst way. He wanted to win like a douche

  • @ZombieCobain No it wasn't contrived. He really did feel envy. I think envy is what made him go insane. I imagine him as a person growing up who was always the watcher and never the participator. He watched couples, smiles, laughter, kissing, but was never a part of it. Never had a life of his own. He envied Mill's wife (although average like you said) because he couldn't even get THAT. He was completely alone. I also think it's the real reason he wanted to die.

  • Comment removed

  • [from one of John Doe's journals] On the subway today, a man came up to me to start a conversation. He made small talk, a lonely man talking about the weather and other things. I tried to be pleasant and accommodating, but my head hurt from his banality. I almost didn't notice it had happened, but I suddenly threw up all over him. He was not pleased, and I couldn't stop laughing.

  • Seven and Fight Club are dark masterpieces.

  • the game? you didn't watch it??

  • woah did you see around 9:15 there was tracy's head in a nanosecond lol

it scared the shit out of me because i looked right into her eyes.. :O

  • epic win for 7.

  • honestly, what would you do if a guy did this to you? and said those words, i mean i think normal people would shoot him...

with that said, i would shoot him in the nuts basterd!!!

  • well they would have beaten the crap out f him in real life if he went ahead and said things like that, they wouldnt give a crap about making sence

  • best movie ever

  • wow

  • 'i seem to remember us knocking on YOUR door.'

'oh, thats right.. and i seem to remember, breaking your face.'

    ah, brilliant.

  • Kevin Spacey was fucking amazing in this movie. His turning himself in is easily in the most chilling scenes I've ever watched.

  • Kevin Spacey is such an underrated actor unfortunately.

  • I dont think he's underated. The fact that he is one of the highest paid actors and he carefully chooses which movies he acts in makes him one of the best.

  • One of the most shocking scenes in the cinema history. I especially like how Fincher -does not show what it is in the box- but he successfully creates the thriller.

  • yea it would have been easy to get a cheap thrill and show paltrows head, but he didnt, that was in itself genius

  • Bit sad that the 'I didn't do that' line when they see the dead dog is missing!

  • Mills: "I saw you with the box! What was in the booooooxxxx???"

INTENSE! The inflection in his voice just screams desperation. It makes the viewer feel so bad for this character because at this point, you're already so invested in the film. What an ending! One of the best thrillers ever.

  • He speaks a lot of sence man

  • Brad Pitt nailed that scene. His facial expressions were dead on.

  • Detective... DETECTIVE! You're looking for me...

  • no big suprise 1:14 lol take a look beind you guys

  • This has to be the greatest movie scene ever

  • I would feel like killing him is not enough.

  • no i would torture him until he couldnt scream i would put every ounce of pain he inflicted doubled on himself i would break him

but there is no way i would be able to give him all of my pain so thats why i leave him to God and hell. but damn would i make his life until then terrible

and u no wat messes up my whole spiel? im a canadian-i dont like the death penalty. but damn when i see this i can understand and totally approve

  • its certainly one of the best movies i have seen too, undoubtedly the best thriller.

  • I wouldnt have killed him. thats a colt45 so 7 shots; 1 in each knee, 2 for the groin at angles to go thorough the pelvis. 1 through the clavicle to the scapula. 1 for the jaw, last near the bottom of his spine. Then I would take a lighter and cauterize his wounds, then I would gouge out one eye and burn off one ear. Cruel sure, but this guy fuckin brutally slaughtered the only person I loved, who was pregnant. No amount of physical pain is worse than what he took. Good thing its just a movie.

  • u just verbalized all my intense feelings....

  • faggot

  • @splatwacker

    freak...

  • @splatwacker haha it really made you angry that movie didnt it? i feel you. i felt sick after i realised what was in that box.

  • @splatwacker i'd pistol whip his face a few times, a bullet per knee, bullet per elbow (pointed so it goes threw towards the hands), shoulder (pointed so it goes down the arm), pistol whip his balls a few times, and use the last bullet threw his cheeks shattering his teeth. if i had enough time before that i'd break his fingers, toes, wriests and ankles. dont get me started on the shit i'd do if i had a knife. lol. no one fucks with my wife or unborn baby.

  • @splatwacker passion of the moment is susprisingly overpowering

  • @splatwacker

    .....dude

  • @splatwacker yeah your that good a shot. i think rage is harder to control than we think it is. and besides, it was only Gweneth Paltrow.

  • @splatwacker I would have forced him to give me a blowjob and forced him to recieve a blowjob from me while i jerked him off too.

  • @Mazdak1

    .....what?

  • @splatwacker we don't care about your love that nasty cop should have avoided that work . John Doe won fuck you humanity..

  • @splatwacker U need help dude.

  • @splatwacker

u need help, or you ened to put a nail/needle in his finger its the most pain

  • this is the best thriller to this day <3

    brad pitt looks fuckinng goooddd.

& morgan freeman is prob the best actor alive.

  • Still gets me to this day.

Considering all of the more emotional details (what if some strange man murdered my wife to prove a bizarre point?), if I were a lawman I would've let him live. I'd beat him up a bit (but you know that lawmen walk anyway, no matter what fucked-up shit they've done), but I'd rather see sacks of shit like that end up in prison, where they're forced to tough out their sentences. I'd like to see them live with what they've done than kill them.

  • THE MOST OUTSTANDING SCENE EVER !!

    5 DAMNED STARS!!

Morgan Freeman always adds little spice to every movie he acts in !!

  • ending always makes me upset....

  • skipped too much of the car ride at the end...the movie as a whole is one of the best movies i've ever seen, but the car ride and the ending are undescribable...

  • the head at 9:13 is not subliminal

first of all if you actually catch the clip (which i just did now) youll notice its not bloody or pale or anything....its just him remembering her

and second...if it was a submliminal messge....you wouldnt even be able to see it

they flash by much to quickly for our eyes to see....but the sub-councous part of our minds see it....thats why its called submliminal

  • I would have shot him in the balls and both kneecaps. he would be a limp, stubbed, prisoner who ultimately lost.

  • 9:12 the chikc head in the box? subliminal why? anyone kno i caught it wen i saw tha movie but wanted to c here wtf it waz exactly... why wuld the do dat??? so confussing

  • did you catch the subliminal message at 9:13? It shows the head.

  • pitt should have tortured that cunt into the living hell,, slowly ripped the skin off his legs transported blood to him to keep him alive and then fed him to comodo dragons

  • He won the award for both American Beauty and Se7en

  • No ... for American Beauty and The usual suspects!

  • @tagaeds now thats movie is G- THE USUAL SUSPECT

  • he could've won for this but it was the same year as the usual suspects and i don't think they wanted to nominate him twice in the same year

  • @RDizzle12345 He wasn't even nominated for Se7en, the only thing Se7en was nominated for was Best Film Editing, which is a shame, really.

  • Kevin Spacy: wtf did he not get nominated for a oscar for this role?

  • He was nominated. Just not for this movie.

  • Wasn't he nominated for American Beauty? and didn't it come out shortly after se7en?

  • He was nominated for The Usual Suspects in 1995, and won for American Beauty in 1999.

  • I knew it! American Beauty he won! I say though he also should have won for The Usual Suspects!!

  • He did actually. I forgot it for a second. I personally prefer Brad Pitt from 12 Monkeys that year. Maybe thats why I forgot it.

  • HE WON FOR BOTH OF THEM!!!!

  • what do you mean both of them? Sorry I don't understand...

  • His wife and unborn child, (FUCKING MORON)

  • Okay...I knew that I was asking what sombody else nmeant when he said both of them.

I may be a fucking moron, but I'm not a total fucking moron.

  • He wasn't talking about that FUCKING MORON, read what somebody is asking before you act like a stupid shitfuck cunt to people stupid dickheaded bitch.

  • So I can't find this movie on here. I type it in and other crap comes up. Anyone know where I can find it?

  • the guy's voice cracks at 3:17

  • @commentingaccount101 that voice crack makes his speech even more convincing.

  • I adore this film but the fact that he killed Detective Mills wife pissed me off as he said that he didnt kill any innocent people.

  • I think he killed her was because Envy was John Doe's sin and the fact that he could never have the life Mills had made him murder someone innocent and that made him realize that he didn't deserve to live.

I also think that since he held the seven sins so highly he believed that by committing the mortal sin of envy he knew that he had to die and he believed that Mills was meant to kill him for his sin and Mills was supposed to suffer the rest of his life with Wrath.

  • Ok....

The combatants are John Doe and Hannibal Lectar

The game - Hungry Hungry Hippos Who wins?

  • detective.....detective.....DETECTIIIIIVE!

  • wat movie is this?

  • "Se7en"...

  • He doesn't deserve to be wrath. What kind of simple revenge was that? If I were in that situation, I would've shot him in his elbows, his knee caps and eventually his stomach so that the acid inside of him would've eaten away at him, allowing him to slip into a world where nothing but pain existed before slipping into the easy world of death. Just SHOOTING him, didn't do shit. It was an easy let off compared to the sick shit the other guy did. Therefore I declare the ending, sucky.

  • Intense scene.

  • Esta película es GENIAL. Spacey rules.

  • what do you mean ?

  • One of the best movies ever. Fincher rules.

  • "Become wrath".

  • Brad Pit's worst performance at 7:20.

  • WHAAAAAAAAAT???...omg

  • Brad Pitt: Whats in the box?

  • At 6:40-41 Brad Pitt sounds like Bruce Willis :)

  • i looooooove this movie!! :D

on the sloth part when the guy started to move i choked on my water :P

  • DETECTIIIIIIIIIIIIVE!

  • What actually happened to the Greed fella I never worked that out

  • He was forced to cut a pound of flesh from his side.

Probably John Doe ( kevin space) threatened to do something to his wife if he didn't do it.

  • Ooooooh charming...

  • Yep I think they cut down on the scene to avoid an XXX rating, like they cut down on the scene with the guy with the knife strapped to him.

  • I love Kevin Spacey, he is amazing as the infamous iconic John Doe

  • i absolutely shutterd the first time (seen it 151513131 times now ) when doe does:" detective ...detective ....DEEETECTIIIIIVEEEE!!!!!! ...you are looking for me ....HEYYYY!

    fantastic

  • The murderer sounds like Light Yagami from Death Note. He's killing all the bad people too.

  • God, this movie was crazy

  • WHATS IN THE FUCKING BOX!?!?!?!?

  • The head of his wife. 'Brad Pitts' wife.

  • i think was quoting a line from pitt ....
