@scumgod13 Not really. In fact, there are some advantages to being a bouncer over being an officer. But, I find usually people that say these things to mean an insult, usually got there feelings hurt by a bouncer.

@bigc0225 Well, I work as a stagehand, a job that actually takes some brains and skill, I know all the overweight, pumped up, aggro, sexually deprived security and Ive yet to be embarrassed by one of them.The same security that works with me end up in all the bars around campus. Some are cool guys, some are total dicks as with any job. Whats the advantage to being a bouncer over a cop? Cant get charged with Police brutality.

@scumgod13 If you're implying that being a bouncer doesn't take any skill or brains, I would challenge you to try it. A real bouncer need not use his physical ability that often, most problems can usually be talked down or averted verbally. I am typically the only white guy at clubs I bounce at, and if you think that doesn't matter, you'd be sadly mistaken. I often find myself having to verbally talk people down, and that isn't a dumb man's game. Other times we fight, but that's not as often.

Gay or not, the guy on stage was being a jerk. If you go to a club, you have to follow their rules, however lame they may be. It's pointless to argue with bouncers. Also, he didn't "slam him" as far as I can tell.

Silly gay man. At straight bars only women patrons are allowed to be up on the stage or by the pole. Those stages are in straight bars so women can dance all sexy and men can oggle them. If a man gets up there it causes those so-called straight men to oggle other men...and then weird things start happening in their pants...and we just cannot have straight guys watching guys dancing on a stage in a bar. Only women can be treated like objects. That bouncer had every right to attack that guy.

That guy was breaking the rules. The bouncer's job is to get rid of people who break the rules, since they annoy other people in the bar. They can break something. They can get hurt and try to sue the bar. The bouncer's boss tells him to get rid of these people. This bouncer was doing his job. And this guy deserved it.

If he wasn't supposed to be up on stage and was asked or told to get off and he didn't, the security guard is well within the law to remove him off and out of private property. It's not a gay issue, not even an issue of anyone being a jerk or an a-hole. It's pretty plain and simple.
