Malicorne is getting back together fora one-off reunion performance later this summer in La Rochelle... how I would have loved to be able to go! They've been one of my favorite bands for well over three decades now.
@DavidfromBA Same here. Malicorne conjured a mystery in their arrangements and harmony that I found lacking in British folk-revival groups (although The Incredible String Band achieved this magic sometimes). I wouild hear Malicorne late at night on the folk music program on the local NPR station...
This song come from the album " Balançoire en feu " edited in 1981. The album " Légende " is just a compilation of Malicorne's songs... " Balançoire en feu " is the real last album of this group and that was the first time they do not sing traditionnal text : all the lyrics were written by the french author Etienne Roda-Gill.

@KBBZH Thanks for the additional information. In the States we could not obtain all of Malicorne's albums, sadly. Only comparatively recently have we been able to obtain Malicorne's full output. They were/are a truly wonderful group. And you English is fine!
