Part of Stephen King's genius (which may be unknown to himself) is the uncanny ability to incorporate very deep subconscious archetypes -- even beyond what Jung had envisioned -- into his stories. In some way, this universal appeal not only reflects humankind, but I dare say, reveals some of the nature of reality.

I'd love to, there Pointy, but I live in a small town where it's nearly impossible to get anything. Any suggestions? Do you know any good book websites that I can order from?
It's true! He's my favourite, by far! I mean, I spread the word as much as I can, but people just don't seem to care or notice what's right in front of them.

this movie should be called low men in yellow coats. i watched it hoping it would be the second part which was my favourite and the actual 'hearts in atlantis' but they never actually got to it?
Hearts in Atlantis is by far one of the best books i've ever read, and the actual 'hearts in atlantis' story dealing with Pete Riley was the best of the 5 stories!
Im fifteen and I dont have a very long attention span but i couldnt put this book down it was the best book ive ever read by far. This movie was only half the book which dissappointed me. I love this book so much. Them movie is good but by no stretch as good as the book
If I had seen the film first I would never have bought the book so I'm glad I read the book first. It's far more interesting. The true meaning of "Hearts in Atlantis" is never revealed in this movie.
The Dead Zone is my favourite film when it comes to Stephen King but I've never read the book. Must be as good as the movie so give it a try. Have a great trip.
I've been a huge fan of David Morse since 2002, however, I have never seen Hearts in Atlantis. Thanks to you for posting this I will rent the DVD as soon as possible.
This is one of my favorite books, so I had to see the movie. I was very impressed by it. While it was only based one the first story in the book, it was such a good movie. The acting was great and the story was also done really well!
One of my all time favorites as well! I bought the d.v.d. The Schwinn Black Phantom bicycle at the ending is interesting, they switched the chain side crank to the other side. From the right side on the bike where it always is, to the left side for photographic purposes. One of the small touches that make up a great film.
Which is the name this song or Soundtrack? Please!!

I love this beautiful movie especially Anton Yelchin's acting - extremely high level for his age. Anthony Hopkins and Hope Davis were great as well.

The underlying sadness of this movie always gets me. Scott Hicks also directed "Shine."

I love every scene in this movie. Along with the haunting scores that blended very well.

I bought my wife the book before the movie was made, and she said "if they make a movie Anthony Hopkins should play Ted"
anyways, her prediction was right and it was a great movie
fast forward 5 or 6 years, still never bought it and yesterday I found it used for 5.00 at a used game store

I dont like it, cos they removed all the connections to the dark tower series
moonsuga 3 years ago
I know. I'm worried what will hapen if they turn Insomnia into a movie. You can't have that one without the Dark Tower.
ZGDK 3 years ago
Yep, the Dark Tower is the spine of most Stephen King books.
