  • Was this recorded on a rope?

  • Was this shot with a camera from the 70s...it sucked real bad bro

  • Not kocking your car but, the King Cobra was not much more than a graphics package.. Short of having the original paint and stripes, the only way to determine if your car was a Cobra II or King Cobra is from the build or "buck" tag attached to the radiator support. If it was sold as a Cobra II, the tag will have the code "CB" on it. The same holds true with the King Cobra which has a "KC" code on the tag. These options arent listed anywhere else on the car.

  • Recorded with a dead bird.

  • I want the one with the Cobra on the Hood.

  • horrible video quality.

even though this era was a POS performance wise. I always liked the front styling for some reason

  • wtf???you record this with a damn calculator

  • damn i didnt think cobras were that nice man i heard they were shitty

  • If you are going to advertise that you are selling a King Cobra, you could at least HAVE a King Cobra. That car is: 1, not a 1978, and 2, not a King Cobra. I own 1, and have had 3 others, and even I can see 5 things in that short clip that scream copy to me. (Just for starters, King Cobra's have a snake in the grill, not a pony.) That car is most likely a 75 or 76, cannot get a better guess than that from the quick shot. Still like the car, just not a KC.

  • i was thinkin the same thing about a 76 king cobras had t-tops and a large front spoiler and the hood to the grill is a lil wider from 76 to 78 looks like a 76 cobra two but could even be a mustang 2, its still sharp yeah but NOT A KING COBRA

  • The grill is the same size as the other 78's, but the emblem is different. The car looked like it had the front air dam from a KC. FYI, the King Cobra was a 1 year option, 1978 only. T-tops were only available in 1977 and 1978. Not all the T top cars are King Cobras. Guy replied to me personally, said the car was a copy, thought he had posted it here...oh well.

  • your right cause i used a 78 grill in mine after i hit a school bus, 74 was wider. and t-tops were 77-78. but i see your point here. with only 5000 hard top KING COBRAS made I wouldnt be too happy with a copy, but still yet with just a lil money not alot you could turn a mustang 2 into a King cobra and it would be hard to tell the difference. sad to say mine had a horse on the grill for a while after it tapped that bus in the ass. i did find a snake later in a junkyard .

  • Yep. Oh, there were less than 5K Kings built total, including the ones that were T-top...wish mine had T tops, it is just a hard top tho.

  • @DOffio Question ,Which street Cobra came with the Can Am typebody ,pop riveted fender flares which added over a foot in width.I was told it was a King and so far the only one I have ever seen like it. It was like a Shelby on steroids.I thought it might have been aftermarket but when I went to look I was told it was a King not an aftermarket kit.

  • @215jami Answer...2 possibilities. Either it is a King Cobra, or You might be thinking of the Monroe Handler. Now THOSE are rare. (only 7 built.) Here is a link to a video of a restored Monroe Handler. Type in Monroe Handler into the youtube lookup box. There is a video of a gorgeous resto. Rassen frassen youtube will not let me post the link.

  • @DOffio It had the Handler quarters, rocker exhaust and spoiler + the pop riveted rubber fender flares that really blended in, to cover the really wide rims and low profile tires front and back. Its been in the back of my mind for 20 yrs. ,thats how awesome it was in a Paul Newman way. I guess the car Gods blessed me with a freeway glimpse. Thanks for the help out and i mean that ! ...john

  • Kinda like being the King of ...(honestly I can't think of a country I'd like to insult. Any suggestions?)

  • ugly european taillights :S

  • give ya $75.00

  • Its sorta sad how these cars are waaaaaay harder to restore and keep running and they get no respect... sad :(

  • Nice car... IIs are fun

  • Is the car still up for sale? And how much do you want?

  • yes its still for sale i have over 10,000 invested and im asking 7500

  • Hi, wanted to let you know I've got an all-original '78 for sale. Please let me know if interested. Thanks!
