  • I really liked this video, but the only thing I disagree with is the fact that this is to girls only. I know that the majority of people struggling with weight and the pressure to be "perfect" are girls but guys do this too.

  • Somatotype has nothing to do with being healthy. Health is based on a nutritious diet filled with raw foods, plenty of water and lots of exercise.

The image of beauty is distorted by media and it is disgusting.

  • this video makes me so proud to be a tri delta! <3

  • haha fatties

  • So beautiful. You can talk about being healthy without talking about being fat. I do see my friends falling victim to this (although I'll be damned if I will let it happen to my daughter!)

  • I cried watching this. We're all beautiful, no matter what size!

  • i think this video is so beautiful......when i clicked on this i felt touched.

  • the 7 people who disliked this video has no soul!!!!!

  • lovely. only thing i noticed is that none of the women they showed during the "this girl" segment were overweight.

  • BEAUTIFUL!

  • Thank you thank you thank you for sharing this!!! I will continue to pass it along to everyone I know!

  • This is why I want to be a Tri Delta sister. :)

  • Because they love us the way we are. And the people that truely care about you, they see behind the mask we put on. They see the true us. Why change something beautiful? It's taking a flower, and one by one picking off all of the petals. It hurts the flower. More than you think.

    Remember. You are GORGEOUS. (:

  • Its amazing what girls will do to themselves. I often look in the mirror and hate who is looking back at me. But I know that I'll destroy myself if I try to change the fact that I am who I am. And to tell you the truth, I don't want to be like those 'perfect' models. Because if you look identical to the next girl, what makes you different from others? Not much. Not much at all. And I am slowly bringing my self confindence up. Girls, we are beautiful. Thats why we were made for guys.

  • the most disgusting person in the world is Puerto Rican Italian Jasmine, she likes to call women fat, steal from tip jars, cry, flash them, pretend shes dating, hang up the phone when you pick up, wear cheap thongs, and Heaven knows what she stuffs in her mouth -the rest of you jst feel ugly-

  • Weight really is just a number, everyone. It's no big deal. I am a five foot eleven femle, and I weigh exctly 152 pounds. BUT, guess what? I often get told that I am "WAY too thin", and no matter how hard i try to put on a little weight I still get clasified as "rail thin". As long as a person loves themselves and can live a happy, healthy lifestyle, it shouldn't matter what that number on the scale tells you. You are beautiful. :)

  • im young and 5'1 and 120 pounds my mom yells at me all the time to stop eating so much and this really helped me no y

  • wow! this is QUITE amazingg. ♥♥♥

  • Hi!

Last year, my friend called me fat. My self esteem was high last year, but once she called me "FAT" it broke my heart.

I'm 5'7 and 91 pounds, last year i was probably about 5'6 and 90 pounds?

  • @Angelique1004 dang!! your far from fat!! i am 5'4 and 105 pounds!! you have NOTHING to worry about!!

  • Thank you so much. You just changed the whole way I look at myself.

  • amen (:

  • this was really touching.

  • Wow this really touched me.... this was amazing

  • amazing video. such an important message. i really appreciate this. :)

  • Im wondering who are the five people who disliked this meaningful and powerful video...

  • This video is wonderful, it made me cry a little. I never ever had a problem with my own weight until I had a roommate who wouldn't stop talking about hers - 5'7" and super skinny. Thanks to the constant comments and saying, "But I weigh more than you, and I'm not fat," I have felt worse and worse about my own weight. And there's nothing wrong with my weight! This stuff is bad for everyone, not just yourself or people it's directed toward. People just hearing it soak it in like smoke.

  • Love this, thank you for what you do.

  • I think you need to seperate talking about health from fat oosnoopy.

If you have a health issue, and people of all sizes have them, than talk about what you can do for your health, but you don't have to talk about fat and body size or scale numbers to be healthy.

  • being obese isn't healthy but you can be husky or chubby and be healthier than people who are much thinner than you NO one is supporting obesity the problem is that most people view a level of weight that can be healthy as being fat which is why a lot of girls who are a regular weight end up starving themselves. even though the risk for health issues can go up with weight you can still have weight on you and be healthy

  • You're very wrong. A person does NOT need to be skinny to be healthy. A person can be bigger and healthy as long as they take care of themselves.

Body size has nothing to do with being healthy or unhealthy because a skinny person can be unhealthy. It all just depends on how well you take care of yourself.

  • @MyCatMaggie

    That's right!

  • @MyCatMaggie Wow, strong media brainwashing. It's interesting how you label anyone not overweight as "skinny", as if not being overweight is not normal. 100,000 years of evolution disputes this. "Skinny" people are normal. They outnumber overweight people significantly. They don't have body image issues. They overwhelmingly tend to be healthier whether you like it or not. Humans evolved in a smaller body type and that's why we find this "image" inherently attractive - ie hip/waist ratio.

  • By the way, Delta Delta Delta, I am not one of your sisters, but I am a member of the Greek community at my university and I think that this is a great idea and a marvelous video!

  • You are being completely unbelievable westmeat. As a Dietetics major I can tell you that 2/3 of the US's population is overweight and that you are probably part of it. If you think men deserve the attention then why are you complaining about women? Also, you think 140 pounds is overweight? 140 lbs is only overweight for someone 5'3" or under. So do some research before posting your comments because you truly sound like a complete idiot and an offensive jerk.

  • @karapifer thankyou!

  • thats beautiful
