@tomutwit You should definately get this, even though it's really hard. I mean, this is probably the hardest part. Most of the harder parts are just to get trinkets which aren't integral to beating the game and even on the hardest parts throughout they give you checkpoints on almost every screen, so you can just keep trying again and not worry about lives. You can also save at any time so there's that. I'd really recommend this game, but it is kind of a niche game.

I got this in about 400 deaths, then somehow forgot to save. I didn't get upset when I reloaded later and didn't have it. Instead, I went back, and got it in under 5 minutes. This game is awesome!

Just a tip for anyone looking to complete it and having issues. On the way up from Veni and I think also down from Veci press against the wall in the direction you want to go. Also when you hit the top go back on the left path, I found that to be very much easier for me! Also big swings near the top may help.
