the paladin is capable of fire up to 30 km. Its not supposed to take longer to aquire the targets in its sight, if you have a good enough gunner then it will only take about 2 minutes

The Paladins themselves don't acquire the tragets...the forward observers on the ground near the enemy do. All the information about the Paladin is unclassified and could be found online. It's the M109A6

18 miles max range.

The forward observers find the target, call in the position to FDC(fire direction control) which send the info out to each gun automatically computing the coordinates for each gun. 1/10 FA 3RD ID!!!
